Why does Golovkin want retired Froch at 168, but Ward at 164?

Froch wasn't retired when Loeffler tried to make a fight with him. Loeffler said they didn't ask for a catchweight "Out of respect for Froch and his marketability in the UK" In other words, the same reason Ward would fight Floyd at 160 but not GGG at 164 - money. Yet GGG would go to 154 for Floyd ,fight Chavez Jr at 168 and Froch at 168 but Ward he needs a catch weight ..Yeah he ain't sacred of SOG! And Ward would fight Floyd at 160, but not GGG at 164. Guess that means Ward must be scared of Golovkin, yeah?

Because Ward is better the Froch this. golovkin only weighed 168 prior to getting in the ring with Lemiux. this means Ward would have a significant weight advantage in a fight made with a 168 limit and day before weigh-in. why should Golovkin have to concede this against a guy as good as Ward? in terms of "exposure" Ward, at this point, probably needs the fight with Golovkin more than Golovkin needs to fight Ward. 50-50, purse, ppv, and weight (164lbs) sounds reasonable.

Golovkin will knock Ward the f*ck out in epically anticlimactic fashion. In the land of make believe anything can happen. Unfortunately, it appears we'll never find out for sure.........

We have been through this many times. Froch presents less risk. I think Golovkin would be happier staying at middleweight anyways.

Money. If Ward was actually a popular boxer who generated money the way Froch was, I'm sure he'd be willing to face him at 168. Froch is the A side because he can kill it in the UK and GGG is obviously going to have to go up to 168 if he wants part of all that money.
