I think he could be, hes just destroying very very good fighters. Only guys i think are on his level are wlad and joe calzaghe, but they dont blitz their opponents as well as golovkin. His jab, defence and OFFENCE are all brilliant. Yesterday was the most impressive display by him to date. Lemineux is an excellent opponent.
Impossible.
Golovkin is very one dimensional. He has shown absolutely nothing in regards to being able to use clinching and tying up opponents or getting on his bicycle as an artistic and pure form of defensive boxing.
Lmfao
He is going to have to do a lot lot more, to be on the level of Pac, Floyd, Wlad, Hopkins, Calzaghe or even Ward. He could be up there I expect him to unify the titles but he has a little way to go first.
If GGG goes on to beat Cotto/Canelo and a bunch of good fighters at 168-175, then he cane definitely be the best of this decade but of the last 15 years, no.
In terms of skill set and power though, he is getting up there. He needs the best available opponents though.
Mayweather, Pac, Wlad and others are all still miles above him. That's not to say that GGG couldn't be considered among them if he keeps up this form for a few more years and gets some world class names on his resume.
This comment ends the thread :)
