Here we have another fighter being hyped up as this monster that everyone is dodging, he even claimed he would fight anyone from 154 up 168, all of a sudden Ward is willing to fight him, even calling him out, and now he has no plans to move up.
GGG has hasn’t beaten anyone great let along someone good. Saturday night he a guy that has absolutely no chin, and once again HBO is hyping this up as some huge competitive match.
Even still, I’m picking GGG to lose by knockout, David has decent power, and we don’t know if GGG has a chin or not, and even he knows his opponent has no chin. Don’t be shocked if GGG gets reckless and ends up getting laid out. Remember where you heard it first.
-Unwilling to fight who again? Riiiight. There is Ward, who just now within the past couple months has publicly said he wants to fight Golovkin. In about 18 months. That's right - Ward's whole thing is they wanted "sign an agreement" to fight sometime in 2016. Pffft. Gennady isn't going to sign a fight with ward in a weight class above for some undetermined time in 2016 when he has Lemieux right now and is mandatory to the WBC following that in his own weight class.
-ridiculous money? Not really. Most all of his fights were $500k or below, only his last fight did he crack $1 million for the first and only time and presumably will make more on his first PPV. PBC guys tend to get over a million for undercard fights and/or small time main events that no one watches.
If you can trick yourself into believing that, that's your burden to live with.
Also, if it's not ridiculous money, who else is making that much fighting such low level opposition? There aren't many (or any?) guys that can be the A side of a ppv having never fought a noteworthy opponent. This might even be a first.

News flash, team ggg will never fight Ward.
Considering the opposition, hell yes ridiculous money!
Not happening anytime soon. Team ggg unwilling to fight anyone that realistically has a chance to hang that L on him. Can't blame them, they're making ridiculous money for fighting less than stellar opposition. I believe a Ward/ggg fight would have played out exactly like Postol/Mattysse
So true that for a sec I thought I wrote it.
Yea, he's ridiculously hyped but he's more disciplined than Lemieux by a good stretch. I'll be really surprised if Golovkin gets KO'd. I'm guessing ggg ko, 6. Lemieux is not an impressiveopponent.
