Good point. This year has been absolute crap for fighter of the year, and we only have 2.5 months left. Floyd might win it off the Pacquiao win alone. :no: Canelo, if he gets by Cotto, would probably be the leading candidate with Kirkland + Cotto, but I have Cotto over Canelo. I literally cannot name another contender outside of that. Floyd might get it off Pacquiao, plus him being retired. Honestly, what about Shawn Porter if he defeats Thurman in December

Good fights. I had Martinez winning 6-4 and Selby-Montiel 6-6. I thought Montiel was going to get knocked out. He showed up last night. In all honesty he should have but Selby was a coward, Montiel for me fought better but Selby only did just enough to take the nod and get the victory it was a C- performance from him though.

i was fully expecting alexander to draw for the 'i hurt my left hand in the 2nd round' type exuses, instead he comes out with some deluded type, how he's still the best type ting. :dunno: bizarre, last chance of his career really and he gets battered and nearly stopped by d level opposition with 4 ko's to his name. lost me 50 quid as well:peeright:

Just pointing out for the sake of comedy. Yeah it's strange and funny at the same time. I think Martinez strength is what played the difference. Maidana hits hard but he's not the strongest fighter and that why Alexander was able to handle him the way he did.

So mad at myself I was going to put 200 on Martinez at 29-1 but I figured since he prob won't knock Devon out that he will get robbed like last time so I only put 45 dollars on him but damn still freakin monster underdog I'm not complaining happy he didn't get Robbed just wish that the judges were more consistent then I would have had no problem putting 200.

I thought Martinez was winning the fight. I was surprised when they showed the score of the fans. They fought the entire fight on the inside and Martinez out-hustled and even hurt Alexander who is looking Chad Dawson-esque these days. He just looks dull.

Pretty foot work by Alexander, if this was a dancing contest, man he would've had a perfect score. Unfortunately he got hit too much while looking pretty. Gameplan was wrong, holding on the inside limited Alexanders output, forcing him to exchange to make up the round.
