I watch his fights and root for him,and think he is exciting and has a nice personality. If he wants all the titles at 160 fine, but i dont see any real challenges for him at all at 160 period,Cotto and Canelo "maybe" but they are both really to small and offense first fighters..I think if/when he goes to 168 he will fially find some challenges and prove if he is great or not..NOW BEFORE PEOPLE BRING UP FIGHTERS WHO NEVER MOVED UP THIS 160 DIVISION IS FAR FROM GREAT AND LACKS TALENT...GGG might be a future great but he has to continue on his path to prove it.GOOD LUCK
I never understood the hatred. He's a good fighter and entertaining and seems like a nice guy. I met him at Marquez-Alvarado and he was very nice to all fans. I think if you are the type to hate guys based on what people online say about them then that's just a bit sad and you are probably the type that lets other peoples opinions ruin a sport you claim to like or enjoy. Why let trolls and fanboys dictate the way you follow the sport? Maybe the fan wars are more important to you than the sport. I notice more and more there's less and less people online who enjoy boxing and it's more about "being proven right" or someone being "a fraud" yet all the while you are basically admitting that your mind is occupied too much thinking about a fighter who you hate and he has no idea you even exist.
Most big fighters have bad fans and bad haters but unless a guy is a bad person it's hard to hate a guy. I remember being pretty obnoxious that Pacquaio got robbed against Bradley because Marquez was robbed against Pacquaio but felt a bit stupid really. If I strongly dislike a fighter or don't care for a fight I generally won't tune in because I won't enjoy it.
Brush, get back to me when the real you comes back to the scene. Lol whoever this is that hacked your account needs to go away.
I'm keeping it 100 bro.
Someone who isn't keeping it real is the person who posted the new quote I added to my sig. Freedom actually thinks the judges got it right in the fight between Whitaker and Chavez.
For other fighters, they are tests. For Andre Ward, they are tune ups for the next tune up.
Felix Trinidad was a tune up fight for Bernard Hopkins
Pacquiao was a tune up fight for Mayweather.
There are just fighters that are in fights with superior boxers and what they really are in general, are tune ups for the next tune up.

Do you know Marvin Hagler?
Hagler is being considered to be one of the best fighters of all time, being one of the best middleweights of all time.
Same as GGG.
Who were the fighters that moved Hagler into the Hall of Fame, who are his most memorable fights?
Against guys that moved up into his division.
Roberto Duran who was an amazing lightweight, a great welterweight and he actually moved to MW to fight Hagler
Tommy Hearns, another great fighter came from welterweight to fight Marvin Hagler.
Then you have Sugar Ray Leonard who was one of the best welterweights and he moved up to fight for the MW title against Hagler and he won it.
Gennady is similar to Marvin Hagler, there are great fighters that could move up to fight him, and Cotto/Canelo are almost there, they are actually fighting in the same division. Cotto has the lineal MW belt and Canelo fights at 155, everything between 154.1 to 160 lbs is the middleweight division!
Canelo he can only fight at that specific weight because he has so much influence, no other fighter could pick a weightclass where he fights most comftorbly.
Wouldnt it have been great if Mayweather moved up to challenge GGG, same as Sugar Ray Leonard moved up to fight Marvin Hagler?
Subjective what do you mean 'talent'. Talent is a loose word because I think many at 160lbs would beat Canelo & Cotto. I am of the opinion Cotto/Canelo don't do much for GGG is terms of resume because he steams rolls them both easily they are a commercial value to him not a resume one.
Well they aren't in/near the top 10 P4P list on most people without being good boxers and the only boxer I'd rank in the 160 above Cotto and/or Canelo is GGG.
I think some boxers could beat Cotto/Canelo at 160 just like you, but that doesn't mean those boxers are more talented/better than Cotto/Canelo.
I'm not sure how you can classify it as a "decent" win though. The only talent better than Cotto/Canelo at 160-168 is Ward. So by claiming that beating Cotto/Canelo is decent, then no matter what, GGG can't ever get much credit fighting anyone else. They're not really moving up when they have been fighting in the MW division the past few years either.

Now that Floyd'd retired, all his fans can come out and not hate GGG and wish him on Cotto and Canelo without fear of Floyd being thrown to the wolf. And for the record, I believe GGG stops all 3 in brutal fashion.
Why are you mentioning Ward??
Just for the fact people use it as a way to discredit GGG. Just like people tried to use GGG to discredit Mayweather. Maniacs are unrelenting on this site wanting all kinds of fights with no thought or reason.
GGG vs Cotto-Canelo winner will probably take place in May or June. What's Ward gonna be doing all that time???
Fighting a tune up. Every fighter who gets in the ring with Ward, including GGG and Kovalev are tune-ups.
People called Cotto shot years ago...and said Canelo was overrated....i am not making this up this is exactly what was posted on here to discredit another fighrter...That being said beating either one is a decent win for GGG BUT both would have moved up to fight him and Hopkins got sh1t got beating smaller fighters in his 160 run right??

GGG needs to clean up 160lbs and unify the belts. 168lbs aint his weight class. Beating Canelo and Cotto IMO doesn't do much for me tbh not because they aren't good fighters but there are better ones at 160lbs. Ward can **** off and fight a cruiser weight if we are applying retard logic. He is 175lbs fighter now and is MASSIVE compare to GGG. If he is so great let him lead by example and fight someone 2 weights above or better yet take on Kovalev. I am a big Mayweather fan but lets not pretend he wasn't a ridiculously talent kid who could make lower weights with 5lb increases 130,135,140. Weight class hoping these days isn't that impressive unless you take on the top dogs like May & Pac.

You pretty much said he shouldn't get much credit for fighting those guys because they are small and that he should go to 168 instead.
