Okay....
It was a theoretical match-up I didn't announce anything and an announcement for Thurman-Porter is news to me.
Oh, okay. They are all Haymon fighters so anything is possible. It would be an ugly fight style-wise. If Khan uses his legs, he has a chance. Porter can be outboxed. At the same time, Khan isn't SRL or Pacquiao, so Porter's style would give him fits. 50/50 fight.
Porter is fighting Thurman next. Or did I miss something? It was a theoretical match-up I didn't announce anything and an announcement for Thurman-Porter is news to me.
Porter would give Khan a tough fight. I don't think Porter would handle the speed well but he would be stronger in the clinch.
Khan would probably look to spoil as much as he can but Porter won't sit in the clinch, he'll throw him off and keep whacking him. Porter has awkward head movement but he stops doing it late in fights and starts smothering off his jab.
Both would need to show improvement from their last fights to dominate either guy.
Porter can outwork Khan and out hustle him.
Khan just is not strong enough to keep Porter off him for 12 rounds.
I'd be amazed if Khan took a high risk fight like this.
Porter is not pretty to watch but he has everything needed to end khan.
Porter just smothers himself all the time, easily the most frustrating boxer to watch. On paper he has all the tools to be a stylistic nightmare for Khan but in reality I see him getting beaten to the punch, tied up and wasting most chances on the inside he may have to do damage.
Porter's a good fighter but I can't see him causing Khan much trouble. Khan wins something like 8-4 or 9-3. He wouldn't shut out Porter 12-0 like he did Alexander but he'd win convincingly enough, especially considering Porter couldn't beat a far lesser fighter in Brook, although it was a very close fight.
