Lennox at his biggest was around 6'5 and 245 Pounds
Wladimir peaked out at 6'6 and 245.
Anthony Joshua isn't anywhere near his prime yet and is already 6'6 and 240.
He should be around 6'9 and 280 at his peak(pure muscles).
Hughie Fury is 6'6 and 230 at age 20.
Joseph Parker is already 240 pounds of pure muscles and will add another 30 to his bulk before he hits his prime.
If Young Lennox and Young Wlad started today, I feel like they will be undersized against the giants.
Good post.
Everything you said is accurate. It's rare to find a big guy that can move like Fury or Wladimir.
Fury have limited skills rofl. He won because he was bigger.
It takes a special talent to box over 6'5 ,what you fail to realise is taller giants are not as balanced and coordinated ...Fury is an exception ,thers a huge athletic differance between he and Valuev. I would say 6'5 would be the best height for overall performance ....the Klitchkos are rare not everyone will have there athletic abilitie. Being able to manuever and throw punches without falling off balance for someone over 6'5 is just as much hard work as someone undersized today going into the HW division .
Yes a bigger version of one self should win ,but overgrow to magical levels of 7'0 300 pound giants doesnt mean much ,it only limits them.Maybe in other eras with the 200 pound champions they would win and be top guys ,not in the recent ones.

Holy crap! This is the most ridiculous post I've seen in awhile!
Most men are as tall as they are going to get by the time they're 16 or 17 years old...., especially now days when kids are developing earlier. Who the hell grows taller past the age of 18 or at most 19? I have nephews that are 6'3 and 6'5. They're both 19 and they haven't grown at all in 3 or 4 years.
How old is the TS? I was certain everyone would be laughing at his preposterous thread.
:alcoholic
I'm also not sure how he's going to grow three inches at height. For Parker to put on 30 pounds of solid mass would be almost impossible without peds. You don't just put on that much muscle easily.
what in the ****? You expect AJ to grow 3 inches in his mid 20s?
I was scrolling down the thread and was getting really concerned that no one caught that, then I was relieved when I read these two posts. Really, 1st reply should have addressed that. It did not have to wait until the 5th post for someone to point that out.
It's like I said in another thread, HWs have gotten bigger.
Jack Johnson was nicknamed "The Galveston Giant", because he was 6'2 and 200 lbs. He'd be dwarfed by modern HWs.
Lewis made easy work of Michael Grant aka Wilder Snr
LL would have walked through Wlad, Fury, Wilder and Jousha, no problem
He could fight on the inside and on the outside...When Grant tried to clinch him, he landed some brutal uppercuts.
The guy was a beast, he had many tools to dispose of guys bigger than him
I have a lot of respect for Fury etc...but LL was a different breed
Boxers and asketballers will continue to grow taller and larger but it will be at a far slower rate than envisioned because balance becomes more difficult to develop as athletes grow longer, meaning that taller fighters can only gain elite level gait with a concominant increase in training efficiency.
Lewis and Wlad set the benchmark for taller successful HW's because of a leap in training methods from the pre-professional punch bag eras.
What we would need for a further increase in height of HW boxers at top level is a steady revolution in training modes, not just a general increase in height of population.
Fortunately I believe in a steady increase in both over time.
The TS's extrapolations are ridiculous, we have not reached a point where Lewis and Klitschko are too small, they are still inches above the average HW height.
The weight to height ideal ratio suggested is also ludicrous!
We should take the Klitschko/Lewis height to weight ratio as being optimum considering these are the most dominant champs ever to box. Therefore even a 6'9" Tyson Fury as an example should come in cut at 250-260lbs.
The notion that 6'4" PArker or 6'6" Joshua should come in around 280lbs is ridiculous!
I generally consider the poster VG Addict as one of the most silliest posters on all the forums, however his comment above is spot on, especially regarding the issues of muscle, oxygen and gassing.
I did.
YOU SAID SIZE DON'T MATTER.
I said
A 6'5 RIDDICK BOWE WILL BEAT A 6'0 RIDDICK BOWE.
If all things are equal, the BIGGER MAN WINS!
I didn't say size doesn't matter. I said skills are more important. But all things being equal, then yes, size becomes a big factor. But you have listed the weights of a slob like Arreola, implying that he'd have an advantage over someone who was lighter. You've said that Lennox and Wlad would have been undersized against some of today's guys. It's nonsense. A guy of Lennox's size wouldn't be at disadvantage against the likes of Parker, unless Parker was also an all around better fighter with better skills. At which point Parker would have an advantage if his mobility wasn't effected. But there's a lot of things to analyse.
Bigger is not always better. A fighter can be too big. A fighter can be too heavy. Their mobility and stamina will be effected.
Unless you're claiming that Joshua and Parker are better fighters than Lennox and Wlad, Lennox and Wlad wouldn't be at a disadvantage, just because there'd be a bit shorter and a bit lighter. A guy of Lennox's ability and size isn't really going to be at a physical disadvantage against many guys, if any at all.
Dear me.
I suggest that you go back and read both of our posts.

You keep talking about Valuev. Valuev didn't have the skills. Someone with pure skills will always beat a smaller guy with pure skills.
A 6'6 250 Pound Muhammad Ali will beat his 6'3 self.
A 6'9 Lewis will beat his 6'5 self.
Wake up.
Now a 6'9 Fury will die to a Prime Lewis but that's because Lewis is MORE SKILLED.
IF EQUAL SKILL, SIZE ALWAYS WINS.
Dear me.

So many things wrong? Do you know what the word 'irony' means?
If you're not trolling, you're absolutely clueless.
Mike didn't fight bums, and he was only 5'10, with a 71" reach. Everyone he beat was bigger than him. Go and do some comparisons.
With regards to Lewis and McBride, he was absolutely shot against them.
You have to be taking the pi$$? Nobody can be this dumb.
Evander Holyfield BEAT Riddick Bowe.
Lamon Brewster IS NOT bigger than Wlad. He's 6'2, with a 77" reach. Wlad is 6'6, with a 81" reach. Wlad was also heavier than him.
You haven't got a clue.
Wlad beat him in the rematch when he got bigger? What, by weighing just 2 pounds extra?
Tell me how Ruslan Chagaev was able to beat Nikolai Valuev?
Chagaev:
Height - 5'11
Reach - 74"
Weight - 228 pounds
Valuev:
Height - 7'0
Reach - 85"
Weight - 319 pounds
If you're not trolling, I feel sorry for you. If you are trolling, then what's the point? Why would you want people to think of you as being dumb, if you're not?
Go and educate yourself, and please don't reply back to me with anymore nonsense. You're making yourself look like a fool.

i agree with those who say there is no "size limit" to a HW. athletcism becomes more rare as you get bigger, but that doesn't mean there's some mythical cutoff. jess willard was wladimir sized. he wasn't wladimir athletic.
if there's an athletic 10 footer in 20,000 years with a 120 inch reach, the 6.5 footers are f#cked.
The Earth wouldn't be in here in 20,000 years. The sun would have died out.
trolls live under bridges, and evidently have effective camo.
You mad that Andre Ward is a big bum coward that scared of GGG brah? When he gonna stop DUCKING TRIPLE G?
your probably right....I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt big time, it was the way I was raised. I see a guy asking for five bucks to fill his tank, I think what if he really needs to fill his tank? lol.
I'm exactly the same mate.
I was brought up like you were, and that's a good thing.
Your anecdote made me laugh. Ha!
I'm 35, and I've done/said/thought some ridiculous things in my life too.
If Jason's genuine, I don't mind chatting to him. But I can't see it from what he's wrote. He's clearly not willing to take any information on board, and he seems very ignorant. Also, most of what he types is incorrect nonsense. I think he must be trolling for attention.
Brewster only beat Wlad because he was bigger, and Wlad only beat him in the rematch because he was heavier? Ha! I don't buy that he's just young.

I don't assume so. Its actually a good thing when someone is younger to argue a point and no their logic may not be flawless when in junior high...If he is trolling he got me, but I would rather be got than discourage a young person posting. I had some pretty crazy notions when in junior high.
When I was in kindergarten I can remember me and my ole man walkng to yankee stadium from east harlem and I was convinced: you ready for this!!!!!!! that I had read that Joe Dimaggio had hit a baseball to california. My dad was tryng to explain to me....but I had read it! I knew what I had read and I had my old man waiting for the round to end!!!! Still glad he didn't abandon me in the south Bronx for that one lol!!!
