Froch is a much better boxer than Lacy much more proven and has a better ring IQ ..I haven't seen Joe blow out any one Froch's level..
Eubank? I think Froch and him were on about the same level.
To me, Lacy had more power and was faster than Froch. While Froch's timing is a lot better, I still feel like his physical attributes make him a sitting duck for Joe. That said, I do know Froch wouldn't give up when things got tough, but he would still get wide UD'd.

Kessler is a mental midget. Once Calzaghe and later Ward had him figured out, he malfunctions and mentally quits.
Froch could get his tits boxed off for 9 rounds and still be a threat in the championship rounds.
That's being kind. He raped Lacy's soul and ended his career. The Kessler fight was close for 5 rounds, then Calzaghe made him look stupid. He actually almost stopped him.
ther'es more to it than him simply being unable to deal with adversity. he was badly hurt against allan greene, and he made adjustments. against a guy like green, you can adjust.
who cares if froch's resolve is stronger when he's missing by wider than kessler ever would, and getting hit with cleaner counters and with more frequency.

He was a walk in the park for Ward and would have been for Joe as well in my opinion. Joe would have Lacy'd him.

1st fight was close that could have gone either way ..But Kessler was most certainly elite ..Joe didn't wipe the floor with him ..A fight between him and Froch would have been very good.Froch for what he lacks in technique makes up for it with gamesmanship ,his rangyness the Corba is no walk in the park for anyone . Even Joe..Also he has a solid trainer in McKrackin in his corner ..Makes for one hell of a fight ..

did prime froch really diagnose and deal with speed / combinations better than prime kessler? i don't really agree.
i've always felt prime kessler to be a better athlete than froch, and it's the athleticism and speed of calzaghe that would trouble kessler.
all froch would have is the right hand counter against a fast southpaw like that, and joe would see it coming a mile away.
maybe froch catches him cold early on and shakes him and kessler doesn't, but otherwise i can't see froch doing better than kessler was able to do when he fought calzaghe at his peak.
joe calzaghe was f#cking good. really, really f#cking good. big enough, fast southpaw with a great chin and stamina. that's a tough, tough puzzle to solve.

Outclassed is what he did to Lacy,(Kessler ) that fight was pretty even up until the later rds where Joe took over ..Your really underestimate Froch it be competitive ..

calzaghe also tried to figth pavlik years before pavlik became a champ. yet when pavlik was champ....he turned down the fight and fought roy jones which completely bombed
True that. Simply incredible cardio and workrate. I don't think I've ever seen better. Lots of heart. Most people only watched his late fights, when his hands were wrecked, and remember him for not hitting heavy but that's really their ignorance and their loss. Just too bad he wasn't either 5 years younger or 5 years older so we could have seen him in more interesting matchups.
he never hit hard. you are looking ignorant because you either never watched his early fights or did and want to lie to make him look better. hand problems lol. excuse for slapping which he did since the beginning of his career.
here are some examples. i can post about 20 of these if you want to keep making things up
Calzaghe outclassed Kessler after figuring him out. I do think Froch would probably put up a better fight than Kessler though

There was no way to really time Joe as he had very acute reflexes and an extremely high work rate with just about unlimited stamina.
To me Kessler was elite and even beat Froch the first meeting when it mattered most.

Timing beats speed every time you never know what could, have happened I never seen Joe wipe, out anyone that was elite .Froch is an elite operator ..

I agree with this perfectly. Froch is way too slow to have competed with Joe.

Joe Calzaghe would have absolutely wiped the floor with Froch, no KO but wide UD win I don't think Froch could score a knock down he is too predictable.

Warren's offer included options so it would have been before Froch became mandatory.
By the time Froch became mandatory, Calzaghe had moved onto bigger fights.
What I meant that he could have been his Tarver I meant the way he went about chasing him.And could have upset him like Tarver did with Roy that's all ..

He had fought Robin Reid at the time and you can't tell me domestically no one knew who Reid was ..Matter of fact look at some of the guys Joe defended his belt against ..Being the number 1 mandatory may not be the most r cognizable to casuals but to die hard fans I'm sure they knew who Froch was and he made a big enough stink about getting a crack at Joe is all I'm saying .I know Calzaghe offered him the fight but do you know exactly when ? Was it around this time or after ?
As someone pointed earlier. Someone posted a thread about this possible fight around that time and it got 5 replies. That's all you need to know.

froch woulnd't put a glove on our joe.
he'd hit nothing but air all night, and get slapped so freqnentyly that rachel cordingly would finish the fight rooting of our joe.
