Kell Brook, who won the IBF welterweight title in August 2014 and has made a pair of successful defenses in 2015, was named the British Boxing Board of Control Boxer of the Year for his rise to the elite ranks of his weight class.
Anyone else think it should have been degale or jamie Mcdonald

Good point. What if someone beat Mayweather in December... just as an example
Because it's not decided by the calendar year. Just as a guess I'm assuming they're running it from August to July?

First off Jamie Mcdonnell deserves british fighter of the year so f the talk about Khan or Brook being British fighter of the year.
But switch it round if Brook beat Collazo, Alexander and Algeiri and Khan beat Porter, Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin who would you be calling for British fighter of the year for between the 2?
Exactly Degale should of won, he actually beat Dirrell unlike the good ole paper champ vacant title king who needed a disgraceful gift
Good call, it should have been Degale for sure, he deserved to win it by beating a very high level boxer in Dirrell.
Khan's 4 opponents at 147 are better than Brook's entire career of 35 opponents.. The single name Brook has is Porter, and Porter was beat by Julio Diaz before Brook beat him but he got away with a draw..

I voted yes. He beat a good fighter in Porter and won a world title and he KOed two average challengers. What English fighter deserved it more? Surely not Khan.
Don't you think what degale did was more impressive? I feel as if he deserve it more
Khan hasn't fought a top 10 WW since Devon Alexander. He claims that he has fought top 10 WW's in Algieir, Collazo, Diaz, but he must be delusional or lying to the gullible reporters of Pakistan or where ever it was that he made that interview claiming that he keeps beating top 10 WW's.

Brook just got a sympathy vote from the BBB because of his stabbing situation late last year.. But Brook is a joke at this point, he's been fighting D level bums for a year with possibly the worst opponents of any high level UK fighter for the entire year!
Brook really should have been given the "worst" boxer of the year because of the garbage opponents he's faced, if you think about it.. lol
Khan barely got past Algeri, suppose selby could have got it.
Khan has fought in UK since facing McClosky, 'beat' that dude in 2013 in sheffield who dropped him and deserved at least a draw
I think its the fact hes fought in the uk they gave it to him. Khan hasn't fought in the uk since he fought that irishman
Man that doesn't make any sense manny pacquiao always wins it in his home country
