In a recent interview with Radio Raheem (not the boxing scene wannabe), Bob Arum said the four guys being considered are:
-Amir Khan - (Despite having an agreement with Haymon, Khan has full control of his own matchmaking and could work with Arum to make the fight, Arum said he's negotiating with Khan's people and not Haymon and stated there is no problem)
-Kell Brook - (Matchroom fighter so no problem working with Arum)
-Terence Crawford - (TR fighter so no problem)
-Lucas Matthysse - (GoldenBoy fighter so fight relatively easy to make)
-* Also Potentially Juan Manuel Marquez again if he returns and is willing to a rematch (which he has refused since his win over Pacquiao)

Good to see Pacquiao will be going into a challenging fight straight away.
Out of those four who would you like to see Manny Pacquiao fight nexf? Personally I'd like to see the Matthysse fight, I believe Pacquiao is still the second best WW in the world and losing to Mayweather is hardly a damaging loss physically or in perception as Floyd is #1. Floyd stated afterte fight he could see why Manny is so great and "He sets traps for everyone but me", also stated that Manny possessed "good pop" in his punches. All comes down to what he has left.
Now with Mayweather expectedly vacating, the WBA and WBC belts are up for grabs so the 147 scene should be very interesting.
No one cares, Pacquiao isn't a WW, Pacquiao will come in anywhere between 143-145, Matthysse around the same, on fight night they'll weigh about the same again, no height/reach advantage for either guy. No problems. Matthysse is more proven and much more dangerous than the others so quit whining.
Matthysse spoke of his desire to move up to 147 next year anyway. Lucas came in at 151 vs Ruslan and 157 vs Molina and Ortiz so he certainly can make the weight, his height and frame is the concern against bigger guys.
I highly doubt he retires if he wins, unless you're talking about Lucas taking a pay out....
I was talking about Matthysse yeah. Pacquiao wouldn't retire unless Matthysse brutally knocked him out.
Pac-amir is a good fight to ride into the sunset. Pac aint got the championship mindset anymore, let alone his physical gifts. This fight has a good story (former stable mate's, floyd ducking khan; aint true but media wud suck anyway.. Etc) business wise this would sell. And i hate amir and would love pac to go out with somehow a bang. Its over champ.
Matthysse would take the fight, probably even at 147. I think he'd retire after the fight though and I don't want to see that.

This too, they'll probably have a catchweight of 144 and both will show up 143 with no issues. Matthysse has been talking about chasing Danny upto 147 anyway.

Do they come up or does he meet them half-way? Algieri was at 144, and he wanted it at 147. I expect a Crawford fight would be at 144.
lol I knew you believed in Lucas.
Manny is way better but I don't think his chin is up for it. Bradley could stop manny in his tracks, manny doesn't want lucas' straight right down the pipe. He'll have jmm flashbacks

what does Floyd's IV have to do with this? I think he should fight a ww and not a JWW coming up. don't you?

the only choices should be khan or brook as they are ww's now. haven't we had enough JWW coming up for Manny?

There really is no reason for tc to go to 147. I'm positive Lucas ices manny. All it takes is one shot

I'm not against that only if the fighter is proven and has some experience in title fights, Algieri was a bad opponent, but Matthysse is a great opponent, however he doesn't have the style and I don't think he has that devastating power at 147 to beat Pacquiao, Crawford is a bit premature but I wouldn't mind it at 140, I think Crawford still has business to take care of at 140 and if he moved up he won't be able to move down again.
Get off it man, Pacquiao isn't the one requiring IV's after the weigh-in.
