I'm a Mayweather fan. But I don't want to see a 50th fight unless it's against Gennedy Golovkin.
Another Pacquiao fight?, A Khan fight?. I honestly don't give a ****. Those guys just don't cut it.
If Mayweather really wants to challenge himself and go down as TBE. There is only one man to take on for 50 - 0
I'd be fine for a PPV #50 with:
Cotto/Canelo winner @ 154+
Khan
Danny Garcia
Pacquiao rematch
Thurman vs Porter winner
Bradley
Brook
Agreed, if he fights again anyway.
Sure. And Al Bernstein is a casual fan, too. :bottle:
OTOH, your comment certainly is consistent with the wagon circling displayed by Fluid groupies.
Lol @ Flowmoes pretending it's only Floyd haters that want that match like no man many people were hoping for it.
GGG vs Floyd is not a good match because the size difference is too great.
Depending on how GGG handled the weight cut he would either be too drained to fight properly or too big and powerful for Floyd to have any chance of winning.
Either way, it wouldn't be a fair fight.
People who demand him to fight GGG be like: "but... but... but... You can't retire, you have to lose first, we waited for it so long"

That's pretty much all it is.

Nah let him stay retired this ain't 2008 don't give a sh*t anymore, no reason to. Who wants to see the lesser version of Floyd loose against someone way bigger just because or win against another fighter who is a lesser version of himself as well. It does nothing for me either way.
I'm not a huge Mayweather fan but I have a lot of respect for his skills. That being said I think it's ridiculous that people are pushing him to fight GGG. A natural 147 pounder against a fully fledged 160 pounder. If Mayweather decides not to fight him, in no way shape or form is it considered a duck in my eyes.
You guys sound like fuckin' casual fans when you bring up Golovkin.

I hope he stays retired, but since he won't, hopefully we get some clarity on the best possible welterweight opponent soon. I don't see him ever fighting above 147 again.
Hopefully he shuts it down for good.
This. He broke his hand again last night. On top of that, he's physically shot, can't pull the trigger anymore and is surviving off instincts and experience. Now they want him to give up a weight advantage too?
Every fighter he faces already has physical advantages.
I'd accept:
Brook, Thurman, Pacquiao, and Khan if he actually tries to KO him (which he won't)
GGG as well, but that's too much for Floyd at his age. I'd rather not see a fight with a catch weight.
Mayweather makes everyone look tailored for him. 5 or so HOF guys have looked tailored for him lol.
It just surprises me that there is no tall welterweights like Hearns. Hell, even Sugar Ray Leonard was taller/had a longer reach than Floyd. Like, why the **** are all the welterweights short? These guys are making the mistaking of trying to get more muscle mass when that mass slows them down and doesn't help their speed because they aren't training it properly.
I would love to see him fight GGG at 154 but I didn't vote for it because it has no chance of happening. He refused to go higher than 152 for Canelo so he would not go over 147 for GGG and he already said this. If it could happen it would be my favorite fight and I think GGG would easily win by KO.
