RICKY HATTON would love nothing more than to find a way to knock down Floyd Mayweather.
But eight years after his defeat, the British boxing icon admits he still can't think of a way to put him down.
Hatton, 36, does not believe former foe Mayweather will hang up his gloves after he takes on Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Hatton got schooled and humiliated by Floyd. Hatton also thought he deserved to be in the conversation for p4p at one point. Then he got schooled by Floyd and KTFO'ed by Pac. So of course, Hatton is going to say Floyd has faced everyone. He faced Hatton, didn't he?? What a moron...
Weebler's pecker is going to shrivel up even more when he reads this thread.
Anytime he craps on Floyd from now on, we'll just quote Fatton saying he's, "top 3" of all time.
Go look at Floyd's interview after the Henry Bruseles fight. He was BEGGING Oscar or Shane to let him get a shot and he said "Floyd Mayweather will MOVE UP to 147 to fight Oscar De La Hoya or Shane Mosley." Your accusing him of something he was more than willing to do for not doing it.
I have never understood that.....
You simply canot accuse Mayweather of ducking Mosley and Cotto.
They both turned Mayweather down repeatedly.
Even the Margarito thing...... Mayweather took a far better option, and Margarito lost in the meantime..... also, Margarito was really a threat to Mayweather?..... please. Its like nobody saw the Corrales fight.
So why did he not go to WW to get the fight..You hear a lot about people saying this or that with no actions toward making it a reality..Like you said he was not the shot caller..So why did he not go to 147lb to make the fight happen??Not to mention yes Winky was a career 154lb,yet when Mosley beat Hoya who did he fight next??The same goes for Forest,he fought the guy's that was there who deserved the shot..May has not done this(not really saying he has too either),he's always fought guy's when it suited him most..
His 140lb run was weak imo,and could have been the time when he fought at 147lb and fought against some real solid guy's..Do you think he would have handle Forest easy, cause I don't..Not to mention a prime Mosley or Hoya..I think the Cotto fight would have been great,he was more exp then Canelo was at the time May fought him..His resume was not questioned..It was the absolutely best next step for both, and May did not take history into his hands..Instead retired and came back and fought a LW,this was my biggest issue with May's whole career..It's also the point I started putting everything together about my feelings about his career..
I'll also mention he could have fought Martinez,Martinez was willing to move to 154lb(this was when he was still a small MW)I never heard May mention the mans name..

Im hurt Martinez didnt get a shot at Floyd...truth is he disnt have much good wins at 54...all his best fights were at 160
obviously mosley was not in his prime. why do you think floyd was willing to fight mosley but not marg? they have different styles. mosley was the biggest puncher marg had ever faced and mosley's power was able to dent him. that's why he wasn't able to beat an old mosley. floyd has no power so marg wouldn't have to worry about that. meanwhile mosley isn't a pressure fighter so floyd could easily sit back and pot shot him which he couldn't do against marg. floyd just waited until he got the style matchup that best suited him. you can't see that?
But if Floyd did fight Cheato instead, he wouldve been fightn somebody off an L and ducking Shane. When fighters Lose their ratings drop FYI while the guy who beat em gets a bump in theirs..some friendly boxing advice for a fellow fan
Wrong.
Go back and actually read the article. Where does he state that Floyd is the TBE?
Pulling at hairs now, eh? He said he deserves to be in the discussion with Ali & SRR. He didn't say Mayweather was undisputed #1 ATG, but it's pretty clear he holds Mayweather in a much higher regard than most including most Mayweather fans if they were being honest.

Ricky hatton! Telling the truth. Floyd & manny both got to him, he got depressed, coked up and smoked up, but he is mentally competent. Promoting and keeping a stiff upper lip!
He dispatched Castillo, with body shots. I like Ricky hatton! I think Castillo gave Floyd what for in their first dance.
People also forget that Hatton was the man who retired Kostya Tszyu. He was undefeated and far and away the top 140 lb fighter in the world. He took the challenge and moved up to fight at 147 and lost to Floyd. That fight was one of the most hyped in the history of Vegas.
this whole idea that all floyds victories are not good victories is beyond pathetic. I mean honestly we got the group of floyd haters that have their personas and they are in it for the laughs but there is also an honest portion of boxing fans that hate mayweather that just refuse to give him credit. they hang onto his only close fight against castillo or that he didnt fight margarito or williams and anything else they can possibly hang onto as the reason floyd is not as good as it seems. It doesnt matter if a fighter ducked him or if at the time people were calling loudly for the match. none of this matters because people hate floyd so much they actually believe this garbage. in their minds floyd is just an average fighter who has good defense and has lost like 4 or 5 times. in their minds he dont have a legit win in 5 years they have an excuse for every single win.
the reality tho is floyd has fought everyone we asked him to fight he gets no credit what so ever. there is literally an excuse for every single win but they dont hold the fighters they like to the same standard. if you want to do this discredit all wins you could do it ten fold with pac man and even some of the greats in boxing history. Leonard was notorious for waiting fighters out till they lost a stop or getting fighters into the ring when they would be at their worst but he was liked so its somehow different. but none of the same people touch that subject its only mayweather.
At some point people need to get past the mayweather persona get past all the hate get past that hes confident and thinks hes the best ever i mean honestly who gives a **** if he thinks hes the best ever so many of the all time greats felt the same way whether they said it out loud or not. i mean seriously who gives a ****? Get past all that all the he said she said fan boy crap and just appreciate mayweather for the talent he is in the ring. He wont be fully appreciate until after hes retired.
Dont worry tho haters u can still watch fights backwards with the tint and color turned all the way down and in slow motion but only in odd numbered rounds to see floyd lose a fight or 2
Nothing nobody didn't already know within the boxing community. But this is a pretty consistent opinion of professional boxers when it comes to Mayweather's greatness, abilities, and training regimen.

Funny how non of those fighter you mention was anything special the only one that may would have been a problem was PW with his work rate and heart. But the rest nothing special...GGG just showed up alittle to late not Floyd fault with that fight....margarita showed in the cotto2 fight stick and move beats him easy...martinez did beat PW I think off a Lucky Shot then they fought again but once you get knocked out like that most fighter are never the same...maybe he was maybe he wasnt..we just dont know..he couldve came back to soon after the KO
Yes Mayweather has fought everyone but you need to look more into when and not just the names.
Mayweather for me will go down as a mastermind in fighting people when he knew it was not a 50/50 fight. Fighting them at the right time for him and making the most money possible for him.
If he had fought Manny in 2009, Pacquiao would have had a better chance of winning, still think mayweather would have beat him, and would have walked away with say 50-60 mil. Making people wait and built up that fight like it would never happen and pacquiao getting older and losing some of his explosiveness from a business venture is brilliant. Hats off to you Mayweather, Money is a great nickname for you.
I might be wrong but did he walk away for the fight with 300 mil plus?
Image when Tyson was the main attraction and you would tell him that his PPV record would be beaten by a defence mastermind. Everyone would laugh at you.
Mayweather control of the fight is unbelievable and outland fighters in the punches department.
As a fight fan not fighting when its a 50/50 will always hurt. Knowing that he could have fought more Prime fighters and choosing not too will always mean that he is not a top 5 fighter of all time. If there were more hardcore fan then he would have been forced into the fight.
The fact that he left SRR off his top 5 suggests that he was the true great and does not even want to bring him in a conversation as deep down p4p fighter It goes SRR and everyone goes below.
Mayweather is pretty close to SRR but not TBE. Sugar Ray Robinson is TBE
Hatton said he didn't wait for a right time either. He called the bigger names out when he was coming up, and they didn't want to fight him until he was the man (Oscar, Shane).
Pac's team by their own admission killed the fight early so no reason for Floyd to take blame here.
And as far as the bold; Floyd didn't pick anyone from the old era. Willie Pep, Henry Armstrong Jack John etc weren't on that list either. None of the 100 fight guys were. Why that is the case is anyone's guess, but I don't think it has anything to do with him seeing them as being greater than he is.
