as a big loma fan, i dont think loma lost to salido because of size.
just inexperience/being too conservative or perhaps had too much respect for the pro ranks... he seemed unconfident/unsure of himself going 12 rounds.
so i definitely see him beating salido in a rematch.
yup. He learned a lot in that fight. It was good for his career. Boxing fans need to start thinking differently about losses. As long as a young fighter gets experience, learns from the fight, and proves he belongs, then some losses are good. Other losses where a young fighter takes extreme punishment are the bad ones (like tapia against Kirkland).
Thread title is misleading, he didn't call him a ****er... he just mentioned he wanted him to face some of those Russians and the guy mentioned lemo and he was like ya him... cabron does not mean ****er.
Lol errrrr Salido punched him in the balls like 40 times missed weight and came in as a WW. Leo won't do that.
If it's a boxing match, it favors Loma. If it's a brawl, I expect Loma to come out on top also.
Loma had like 100 clinches. How come nobody ever mentions that
Leo has already proven himself. Alot more than loma. Has only beaten Russel jr
GRJ is better than anyone LSC has faced, including Mares. His performance against Jhonny Gonzalez proved that.
The fight people should be asking is the one between GRJ and LSC. It seems like the easiest fight to make right now.
He has a better chance of facing GRJ. That's who he should target. Both with Haymon and GRJ has a belt. Prove yourself to Lomachenko by beating Gary.

this fight would be great but the fight that might actually get made is santa cruz vs gary russel. i have said it in couple threads im surprised more people dont like it the mix of styles would be great

Salido is a lot rougher than Santa Cruz and was still arguably a better fighter. Leo wouldn't low blow his way to victory like that. He'd box more conventionally, miss a lot, and lose. Loma/Santa Cruz is more like the Russell fight than Salido.
He's a lot of rougher but I wouldn't say that version of Salido is better than this prime and undefeated LSC. Also, the fact that Santa Cruz can throw 1,000 punches in a fight, even one where he keeps being clinched, is a nightmare for anybody that doesn't have legit power to hurt him. I don't think Loma carries a big punch so Santa Cruz is gonna get get his big numbers in. As I said, I do believe that Loma wins the fight, but I just wouldn't be surprised if Santa Cruz pulls it off by outworking him.
Comparing Santa Cruz to GRJ is a big reach, those guys couldn't be any more different. Santa Cruz and Salido are definitely more alike in style.
You're spinning a fantasy to bolster what you want to believe. "Since then"?? It wasn't long ago at all. Salido is spent and it's embarrassing that Loma lost that. It still was Lomas best opponent to date and I don't see anything that says Salido is better than Leo right now or that Leo vs Loma wouldn't be competitive. You guys smoking that Loma pole gotta take it down a notch and be realistic.
There is absolutely nothing embarrassing about Lomachenko losing to Salido, especially the way he did. The only people who thought he would easily win that fight are people on his nuts and/or people who have no clue what Salido was capable of. That was a huge risk by Lomachenko and Salido still needed to basically low blow his way to victory because he couldn't land much clean.
Good fight, most likely a decision here. I wouldn't count out Leo Santa Cruz, Loma is amazing, but he's missing something IMO and we saw how he couldn't handle the Mexican style already. I still favor him, but wouldn't be surprised if he lost this one.

Pshhhhhhhhhh
Top Ranking has a hundred million dollar lawsuit against Haymon. I'm not even thinking about this matchup.
All talk. They know it's not feasible.
salido is far more skillful and hits much harder than leo. not to mention he was a jr middleweight on fight night which is insane for featherweight division. the fact that loma hurt and almost stopped a jr middleweight goes to show his precision power punching. plus it was loma's second pro fight. he has learned a lot very quickly since then.so salido gained almost 30 pounds in roughly 24 hrs?
