Ive heard of a guy in Taiwan that cut of his meat to make weight. It was a rival fight vs a guy he grew up with.
Rumor has it, the fighter was packing 7 inches soft wrist thick. Cut it off to lose two pounds an hour before the weigh in.
Long story short .he won by tko in rd 4
Are you talking about the legendary Wun Hung Lo?
With all these gay and Trangender rights going on how do you think the world would react to this and should it be allowed?
Obama would say it's just fine.
Just sayin'...
I believe this has happened already in mma and it was met with severe backlash. I can't remember the fighters name but it was a dude who "became" a woman and wantwho d to fight women. Absolutely absurd.
I wonder if you are talking about the Muay Thai fighter Nong Toom.

This post reminded me of another thread, back when people were making Rousey vs Mayweather threads (pft lol) where people were arguing about how big an advantage male fighters had over women. One went as far as to suggest that a male flyweight would beat the hell out of a female heavyweight, and yet when a transgender woman loses to a woman her own size people don't conclude that the two situations are very different?
What do you think a man of Fallon Fox's weight (aka 145lbs) would do to Smith if they had fought? I don't think she'd just be commenting about the guy's striking ability, she would likely get completely annihilated.
I can't say I know it would be completely even though :dunno: I have to think more in depth about the physical changes that take place and whether they can adjust enough to make fighting competitive.
I hear ya. I had a similar train of thought. I figured the input from the girl that actually beat her might give a different perspective on Fox and her situation. I found it very interesting she felt Fox still had an advantage.
I don't know if the playing field is completely even or not, and I'm not going to pretend to know either. I do think these Organizations need to look deep into it and put out a statement backing their decisions.
Nice pic...you look a little Carlton'esq in that pic.

You're gonna have to prove to me that adult males who undergo all of these 'treatments' can go from wide shoulders to more narrow shoulders, smaller ribcage etc. Strictly speaking bone SIZE, not density.
Same with muscle bellies and insertions. You have to prove that somebody can go from long lats that extend all the way down to the waist like for instance C.Ronaldo has, turning that into shorter lats that are inserted higher up therefor making your back less wide. Again, not just the mass of the muscle but the actual size and structure that has already developed once they're adults.
All that because they're messing with their hormones via drugs? You're kidding yourself. I'm not saying that men can't become weaker by doing this to themselves, but the advantage of being born in a male body will always be there.
I'm not saying im completely confident with my current knowledge that transgender women in combat sports won't have any sort of edge (I'll have to think on that more), but it feels like from your posts that you're acting like the difference would be night and day. Be real, if a 145lb male fighter fought Fallon Fox or any of her opponents, they would destroy them. It's not like Fallon Fox is just beating the sh1t out of everyone she gets put up against, as you would expect from a male competitor I'm sure.
Again, while your height and length of limbs may not change, bones and muscle mass change substantially during hormone therapy. This isn't just a superficial change in appearance, it is a measurable physical change that produces a considerable difference in physical strength.
The fact that many transgender women compete in other sports and don't just annihilate the other women is a telling counter to your view that they are just men out there. I think we both know that in basically every sport male athletes would crush female ones, which is something we don't see from transgender women.

Fallon Fox was defeated by Ashley Evans Smith. Evans Smith mentioned the biggest difference she felt against Fox was her striking power and that she felt Fox shouldn't be allowed to compete against women because she does have an advantage.
I've seen Fox fight. She's a decent fighter, and I think her process of becoming a woman did nullify some of the advantages men would have over women, however, I don't think she's at an even playing field fighting women.
Very tough situation, and based on the feedback from Evans Smith, there's a possibility that the unbalanced playing field could be even worse in boxing, where the competition is strictly striking.

That's what I'm saying, doing hormone therapy as an adult doesn't matter because your bones have already fused and your muscles already developed. MAYBE it would be more plausible if a boy does this during puberty(would be highly illegal) because the lack of testosterone and excess estrogen would affect his development but he still has genetics of a male so it probably won't matter. No, this is a crazy idea and Fallon Fox should be banned if not arrested.

There are some advantages that don't change such as height which is why it's not allowed in volleyball.

No you don't get it. Men have a more powerfully built frame. Wider shoulders, larger rib cage, stronger spine etc. Decreasing the bone density does not change the way they're built, and the way their bone structure is built is a big advantage over real women. Also muscle bellies and insertions don't change. Your muscles have a certain length and are attached to certain spots, you can decrease the mass overall but it won't change the structure. The advantage remains.
You shouldn't defend mutilated men with mental illnesses beating up women. Don't worry about being called a bigot, it's just a silly word.
