Thurman is more proven at welterweight. Diaz gave Khan hell and knocked him down and Khan just barely won in England. Months later Thurman easily took this same Diaz out in 3 rounds. Khan had a hard fight with Algieri and I think Thurman would easily beat Algieri. Khan has fast hands and a decent punch and Thurman has shown he can be hurt so I give Khan a puncher's chance. I favor Thurman to win by KO. He hits harder than Khan and of course has a better chin and I think he has better over skills and stamina.
I don't know. Both want distance, distance, distance, so I don't expect clinching and running in this fight. It's a chess match. But it's far from happening at this point. It's all up to Haymon.
collazo almost kod thurman by a body shot. khans bodyshots are very good but his chin is always a risk. lol
No he didn't, and that's one thing to like about Thurman, he isn't afraid to do whatever he can to survive and he's certainly a lot smarter in knowing how to recover than Khan.
Thurman's overhand right and counter left hook are lethal, and he's got the quickness and more importantly the patience to position himself to land those, Khan like the typical idiot that he is in the ring will more than give him the opportunity.
Khan would box Thurman's ears off. Of course there's always the very real chance that Khan could get sparked out by any puncher, but I'd back him to stay away from Keef for the full 12 and put a beating on him throughout.
Hard to say, 50-50 fight. If it goes the distance, Khan's got it. If not...
I could see Thurman being cut up pretty badly by Khan over 12 rounds.
Khan wouldn't get a clean stoppage, but a cuts stoppage over 12 rounds is definitely not out of the question. But of course, not likely.
Imo Thurman's chin is still untested.
