Miguel Cotto vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for Cottos wba 154 pound title he won from Yuri Foreman. Target date was december 2010 in New York but Cotto had surgery on his shoulder and could not fight another fight in 2010. After that chavez got fat and never fought again at 154 opting insted to fight for the interim wbc 160 pound belt. Fight was never seriously considered again.
So what? Just cause he wasn't known doesn't mean he sucked. He the froch that beat Pascal sparks out Joe
When did i say he sucked?
I said their careers never crossed paths because Joe was retired by the time Froch was even known and the point of the thread is about fights that almost happened....
Well it never. They're basically from different era's. I never said Froch sucked, although i believe Calzaghe beats any version of Froch and i'm more of a Froch fan.
People talk about this fight like it would have been a big fight forgetting that Froch was still virtually unknown around the time Calzaghe retired. Their careers never crossed paths at all. Froch was still fighting Britsh title fights when Calzaghe had retired, before Froch had even fought Pascal, before the whole Super 6 thing.

Froch vs Calzaghe should be #1

Roy Jones Jr vs Graciano Rocchigiani
Paul Williams vs Kelly Pavlik
Lucian Bute vs Kelly Pavlik
Andre Ward vs Kelly Pavlik
Sergio Mora vs Kelly Pavlik
Joe Calzaghe vs Glenn Johnson 2x
Shane Mosely vs Stevie Johnston
Prime Pavlic beats all those guys except WARD
Klitschko-Sanders II - I wanted to see this fight so bad. The plan was for Sanders to get a few fights under his belt and be ranked so that Wlad could pick him as an optional defense. Sanders then got KO'd by a body shot by some C level guy :lol1:
Morrison-Tyson
Lewis-Vitali II
James Toney V. B-Hop almost got made.
I'm still holding out hope that they can make Broner v. Wlad Klitschko. They could charge a thousand bucks PPV for that one and I would buy it.
Ameri-can, Mexi-can, Ukrani-can.
Yuriorkas Gamboa vs Mikey Garcia
Mike Tyson vs Tommy Morrison
Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones
I think Paul Williams vs Canelo Alvarez
Carl Froch vs JCC Jr
DMX vs George Zimmerman
Berto vs Mayweather on a few occasions
Victor Ortiz vs Canelo Alvarez if he were to beat Josesito
Michael Spinks vs Evander Holyfield I think
Lennox Lewis vs riddick bowe
John mugabi vs mike mmcallum
Nigel benn vs James toney
And I know it was never close to happening but a 1983 marvin hagler vs Roy jones jnr would have been a huge fight
That's a good real good fight between two Mexican warriors. I think The Ghost would've knocked Chino out with a body shot.
two mexican warriors??? :hahaha: :hahaha:
DLH-Cotto (Margarito beat Cottos ass)
Maidana-Bradley (Bradley's issues with Shaw)
Martinez-Angulo (Turning it down ruined Angulos life)
Canelo-Chavez Jr (Arum almost cashed Julio out, changed mind)
Mayweather-Malignaggi (Berto pulled out of fight w/ Mosley, freeing Shane up)
Ward-Dirrell (Dirrell faked having residual injury, pulled out)
Gamboa-Lopez (Fuck You Bob Arum!)
... Then again, I guess that one was on Salido
