Porter might be working on some things himself or may be trying to give Shane some looks that he may see from Mayorga.
Don't take too much out of this.
Shane actually looked pretty good there though I seriously question how long he can keep it up for on fight night. But to the OP's comment, Porter is basically just a very good athlete with grit, he doesn't have much in the skills department. His mauling style is still pretty hard to handle with that athletic ability and toughness though.
I don't think you losers realize the point of a sparring match.
Mosley jab looks like ****, which is the reason he's never been effective at higher weights. He pushes his jab instead of throwing it.
It's just sparring, NEVER make much out of a sparring session. The Porter's ain't exactly trying to prove anything or hurt Mosley in the ring WHILE HELPING him prepare for his next fight.
HOWEVER, something Shawn continues to display is this bad habit of lunging in without measuring distance / range and without a jab. It's like a brain damaged kangaroo who keeps doing it over and over again. Very irritating to see.
Shane could not have selected a better sparing partner than Porter to get him ready for Ricardo. Granted Porter is not as wild as Ricardo but he is a brawler. On top of that he's faster than Ricardo and I'm sure due to his youth has an unlimited amount of energy.
I think Shane is gonna beat the breaks off of Ricardo.
On the flip side, if Shane is tuning Porter up, Porter really has no shot against FMJ.
Other than brute force strength what else does Porter have? It looks like Porter is getting hit clean even by an aging Mosley.
Mosley on them steroids EPO
Mosley is apparently looking real good, in phenomenal shape too. But Porter always gets tagged a lot, Bone on one day notice was tagging him hard. That's why I think Garcia beats him. Also Danny's a very good counter puncher.
