"I listened. How could you not listen when they throw those kind of numbers around," Thurman said. "The way I felt at the end is I don't see how I'm not making $6 million next year anyway. It all came fast. I'm just a patient cat. I'm patient. If you keep a door open you can always walk through it eventually. Right now I'm comfortable with what I'm doing with Team Haymon.
This is a quote from his story when he turned down Roc Nation 3 fight $6 million dollar contract to stay with Al Haymon.

Don't forget people, sponsorships and endorsements also make a fighter money. I.e Khan makes A LOT of money from endorsements.
That is true. All we are basing what Thurman is making is what his reported purse is to the Athletic Commission. He may very well be making money on endorsements.
Yep he got $1.5 million his first two fights this year. If he fights Khan/Porter which is rumored for October 3rd I would imagine he would make more than $1.5 million. Im not sure it would be $3 million though. If he wins his next fight though he is going to be really in the money.
doesnt he make like 1.5 M per fight recently?
Once he steps up his comp..and should he keep winning his pay rate should increase fight,Khan,Porter,Maidana,Brook etc etc
