For the WBA 140 belt, Who wins.
You guys know who I got. AB, Always balling, AB, giving out ass beatings, AB, ABOUT BOXING
Do you still feel the same about Khabib??
Yes, I give Broner props for a great win but Khabib was inactive for almost 2 years.
Without his career being ruined by Top Rank and being inactive, he would of easily beaten Broner
Solid win for Broner but he didn't really improve much of his game. Workrate didn't go up much, ugly footwork etc. A 147lb version of the Broner that fought Allakhverdiev would still lose to Maidana and Porter.
floyd exploits distance and range, his footwork is amazing, sometimes a slight head reflex movement, dodge a punch with his face exposed then he will do a full blown counter, broner cant do that **** because hes flat footed, i dont even think he looks impressive anymore all i see is broners flaws.
this wasnt a good fight, it was a cherry pick plain and simple.
he hasnt changed his style or improved at all, hes just fought weaker opponents, if 2 losses wont make him improve or learn than i doubt he ever will, he has a decent chin so he can clown around at 140 and if he gets caught he will take it, thats a bad habit of his, thats why he can flat foot through these weaker guys. but he cant do that at 147 its just too much for him and thats "the division" for guys around that weight, i never thought he would have success there though, so in my opinion hes just stuck under achieving.
i would of loved to see khan and broner at 140 though, doubt that fight will ever happen now though.
hes only young though so hes going to cherry pick to the extreme, al haymon will give him time to improve and make money but i think the cherry pick wins will go to his head and he will never improve enough to be the next floyd or a world level threat at 147, i doubt he will even dominate 140.
his bad habits got carried up to 147 and he got destroyed by pressure fighters who carried more power than him, i cant see anything changing unless he gets footwork but even if he did, he does not have the reflexes to dominate 147 like floyd does, he gets caught with obvious punches, again i think a good 140 pressure fighter could destroy broner, i think crawford and postol would beat broner easily.
i think the blueprint to defeat him will always be there now from his losses, people say floyd holds but when broner does it, its because he panics, he has no answers and he cant cope with pressure at all, floyd is still very offensive when fighting pressure fighters, doesnt let his opponent control him and can actually back them up.
i have no idea why he has such limited movement, it makes me root against him because he does himself no favors like time i felt like this about a fighter was ricky hatton with his weak defense, broners flaws just make me face palm.
broner to me isnt a great fighter because he seems to have reached the peak of his boxing ability and that ability isnt enough to be a dominate force.
This was a miserable fight. Broner has some of the worst footwork in boxing, he still postures way too much, but at least he started using his jab more. Props to him for beating Khabib and stopping him late, but it wasn’t a performance to write home about. Not a great fight to watch especially since HBO had a great headliner.
Bronner shows skills. he still has not shown the ability to adapt in the ring and thats a real problem. There is no way he will be succesful if he cannot modify his approach to deal with mobility and pressure. Unless he becomes Roy Jones junior and an unleash five hook combos when his opponent comes in lol.
Time will tell
I think this paragraph is key actually, because this is where some "fans" don't appreciate or understand Floyd Mayweather's style or skill. He's able to fluidly do what Broner can't, which is make those subtle but critical adjustment to his opponent over the course of a fight. Broner may yet learn this skill, but from what I see him exuding as fighter and as a man I seriously doubt it.
When Broner steps into the ring with a quality opponent and beats them soundly, I'll line up. But from where I was sitting I saw a fairly undisciplined fighter (Broner) take advantage of another guy who's corner doesn't know how to study tape (Khabib). The keys to beating Broner have been available for a little bit now, it's just plain negligence on behalf of Broner's opponents more than it is skill on his part that hands him the victory.
Everything about this guy is loathsome. I can't stomach his interviews, his cheap five cent imitation of Floyd, or anything about his persona really. Broner should just work on trying to look more like Rick Ross as opposed to Floyd Mayweather, because I can't figure out what his win last night really means in the scheme of things....
bronner had to step back and get some momentum. Doing that against a guy whose corner somehow managed not to get the blueprint on how to beat Bronner, against a guy who is basic plant punch and three hail mary's is what was necessary. You need guys like this Russian as much as you need the A team.

exactly. It was how it was supposed to be. Haymon wanted it this way.
Its either a trap or a way for Bronner to get his sh1t together. If he starts the same pattern again when he steps up he will get stopped. If he takes the lesson seriously we may yet see this young man do something...and I don't mean the title of the month. title hunting is ridiculous.
Random question, I haven't really followed Broner since the Porter defeat, are him and Floyd still close? I know when he lost to Porter Floyd was watching and looked disappointed, did Floyd just brush him aside and wash his hands of him after that?
Still need to watch the Lucas and Broner fights, couldn't stay up for the life of me (UK) so currently downloading the Lucas fight and I'm waiting on a Broner link, were they good fights?
You knew when he was going on about how he was going to pick his opponents now it was going to be someone dumb.
Even if that is his intention and he can take a soft first defense, that is not some kind of long term plan that he should be setting up.
Last night was his first soft defence lol.
Uncle Al got to get that hype train following again.
AB taking over doe.
All in the footwork and both of these guys have zero of that. Those 30 second stints where they were just trading licking punches with their feet planted were ****ing weird but played right into Broner's style.
Broner will lose to another guy who knows how to bumrush him and ruin his balance.
Who cares? That's like Keith Thurman beating Shawn Porter and calling out Phil Lo Greco. That sh*t was embarrassing.

My stream stuttered during that. Is he beefing with Floyd now or something?
Doubt it. Just wants his guy to get a title shot. He would get beat the hell up lol.
Cause Floyd said he wants Ashley to fight broner for the title next. Bs had an article
