Running Order
Ward v Blanco, Ward UD 8
Whyte v Costa, Whyte KO 1
Burns v Ofotsu, Burns KO 5
Rose v Jones,
Campbell v Coyle
I don't see what the fuss is about, it should be a good scrap but Campbell should win easily and comfortably, there are levels to this. Whyte, Burns, and Ward should all win too however I'm not sold on Rose and he should win but I still don't rate him. Unfortunately will never be world level.
I've got Campbell inside 6.
There are things to like about Campbell but I wasn't blown away by that ,he's solid but those toothpicks attached to his feet look so frail can't imagine him taking shots from a strong puncher and being muscled around
I've been thinking this since I first saw him. Someone with size and physical strength is going to be a handful for Campbell. Are there any good pressure fighters @LW though?
campbell's footwork is intelligent and his counter-punching sharp, but i still think he may fold against a more educated pressure fighter than coyle
I agree. He picks a good shot on the back foot, but looked very vulnerable once Coyle got on the inside. He got away with quite a bit of clinching.

Yeah, I hope they don't chuck him in with Linares too soon.
Great fight, exactly what domestic boxing should look like and why I'm in favour of localism within the sport.
More one-sided than it actually looked though, credit to Campbell, handled the pace and picked his shots well, then finished the job.

Just not sure Campbell has quite enough to make it a super fight.
Decent match up for the future though. Verdejo looks a lot better as of now and he's younger too
Campbell looks vulnerable, a trait that I tend to see in rangy southpaws. IDK how long he (or Verdejo) will go undefeated, but LW isn't that difficult of a division to survive in. Campbell still has a lot to do, and tonight was a good start as it was a WBC eliminator. In 3-4 more fights, he'll probably be in line for a title shot.
Anyone thinks Campbell vs. Verdejo will be a future super-fight?
