New generation of boxing right here. Boxers talking about numbers more than fighting. This is kinda the same sh*t that mayweather uses to hide himself. They bring up numbers to make them look bigger than they are. In the past there was only 1 belt per division and way less divisions than today aswell. So saying you beat 20 champions in a 4 champions per division era is the equivalent to beating maybe 4-5 champions in a 1 champion per division era.
Im getting annoyed by people claiming to be more than they are. Garcia getting gift desicions and saying "I make it look easy" GTFOH. Garcia has accomplished alot with his limited skills but he needs to stop acting like hes mayweather and sit down.
Edit: Can some1 tell me or provide me with a link on how to upload videos instead of links? thanks in advance
Was absolutely nothing wrong with him fighting Peterson other than the fact that they did not put all of those 140 Belts up for grabs during that fight, instead they fought out of their weight class. That is the only problem I had with that match up going into it. Now during the match I thought he lost yet again and he still got the win on the cards.
If he beats Paulie his next fight needs to be a Big One at Welterweight! Garcia vs Porter would be good, Garcia vs Maidana (if Maidana is coming back and can make 147), Garcia vs Khan II. I don't know what these guys are waiting for be if you want stardom you have to take on the big match ups to get stardom and you have to do it CONSISTENTLY! You will NEVER become a star if you don't take on the very best that your Division has to offer.
But Danny Garcia Resume is actually very good, now of course we can argue if he won or lost some fights but he basically cleaned out 140 including beating the guy most people on this forum said would destroy him, Lucas Matthysse. Only fight he shouldn't have taken was Rod Salka. I'm not even all that upset about him fighting Paulie as his first fight at Welterweight but the Salka thing was BAD

I'll agree that overall Garcia is not a cherry picker, but Paulie is a pretty lame fight for the 140 champion and Salka is one of the most disgraceful cherry picks you'll ever see. So recently he's been kind of a cherry picker.
Haymon really needs to figure out the balance between the good fights and the crap fights. He swings his fighters too far from one end to the other.
Recently he fought Peterson and that is no cherry pick. paulie is his first fight at 147 so i accept it. Plus i like both fighters so im cool
What i think PBC does is give the fighters one good fight and then one showcase fight. This way they get the hype from the big fight and can continue the hype by selling themselves in the showcase. At the same time we get to see the fighters 3-4 times a year as opposed to the 2 times that has become the norm. Im ok with that.

Paulie is Garcia's first fight at welterweight, officially anyway so I'm not surprised. It's still difficult for someone with Garcia's footwork to deal with that but he should come through it and look better than Khan annd Porter considering how far gone Paulie is now.
After that, I'm sure Garcia will be groomed for Mayweather, although I'm still surprised he wasn't picked for September.

Danny Garcia has proven himself time and again. his resume is outstanding. NSB only hates him because he is with Al Haymon, beat Morales, beat Khan and beat Matthysse.
I thought he lost to Herrera and think he should give him a rematch.
He can fight Salka again for all I care, Morales and Khan were just as easy.
I hope he continues the same quality opposition at WW.
He beat every top contender in his division including the most feared fighter at the time in Matthysse..even though he fought Salka, i think it's ridiculous to call him a cherry picker. The only problem i have with Garcia is the gift decisions he received against Herrera and Peterson.
Boxing fans have short memories unfortunately
another puerto rican coward I dont know why yall act shock hes a cherry picker.
That coward beat Moreales a first ballot HOF to get his first strap
The fighter you named your self after and appear to idolize like a teenage girl had to fight a HOF non talented brother to get his. See the difference
The coward earned his spot while you idol had it handed to him
Danny Garcia's record since beating Morales for the vacant WBC strap:
Amir Khan WBA Champ and arguably no. 1 in the division, depending on how you view the Peterson fight.
Erik Morales rematch, had to happen after the first fight, gets destroyed in 4 rounds. What you would expect against a shot fighter.
Zab Judah, former multi-weight world titlist and a top 10 LWW.
Lucas Matthysse..."dos rounds", hope yall remember that.
Mauricio Harrera, a top 10 LWW at the time and probably still is one. Close fight, I had Danny winning but a lot of people had it for Harrera. Either way, win or lose, he faced another top 10 guy.
Rod Salka LOL
Lamont Peterson, somehow still IBF champ but another top 10 LWW and former/current titlist.
Out of all that, who would you call a cherry pick? Salka most definitely. Maybe the Morales rematch. That's 2 fights out of 7. The other 5 were all either current or former titlists and two of those names, Khan and Matthysse were no. 1 in the division. Add to all that Garcia is still only in his mid 20s and:

The Salka fight was that bad, you can call Garcia a cherrypicker for that fight alone. I've never seen a fight so bad, until Haymon shat out another gem in Santa Cruz-Roman
I'm a garcia fan just for the unreasonable amount of hate he gets. If there's one guy who earned it the hard way in boxing it's him.
I respect ur opinion as i think he was fed to amir khan and he beat the odds. Same thing with matthysse, they were just cashin out of him and he gets to beat the odds again. Hes accomplished alot with how limited he is. Maybe im bein hard on him but i feel since after the matthysse fight like hes not been the same and been in questionable desicions. After he knocks pualie out well see who he fights then
