Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Mayweather always do a bait and switch?

With the announcement of Berto I would like to remind some people about how Mayweather likes to do a switcheroo with opponents. If I remember correctly there was a time that Mayweather was strongly rumoured to be fighting Matthew Hatton. http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content6270.html The internet went up in arms, then he switched to (Mosley?) I believe, and people were "ok" with the fight in comparison. Same this with a Devon Alexander fight, it was laughable at the time. People were talking about it, rumours etc. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/boxing--floyd-mayweather-jr--says-he-ll-likely-fight-devon-alexander-075706526.html He then ends up fighting Canelo, which again in comparison makes it seem a lot better. I could be wrong but I always seem to remember Mayweather announcing some BS opponent then switching it last minute, similar to a real estate agent showing a crappy house first then a normal house to make it look better in comparison.

Based off Khan's Twitter activity, he is in Dubai today. With 7 weeks or so left till the fight, I don't see it being Khan unless he does a 6 week camp or something!

mayweather a *****, he waits till the very last minute so his opponent only have like 3 weeks to train then he make them go cross country non stop to promote the fight. He aint no damn real champion dude does the most bitch shit to win. First Im sure the opponent already knows. Pacquiao kew the fight was happening before the announcement back in February. Stop making stuff up. Mayweather v Pacquiao had NO press tour and Pacquiao knew the fight was happening three months ahead of the fight date. And he still lost to Floyd!

That's why I laugh when fans post about their disappointment of Berto being the opponent when it hasn't even been officially announced. Even Berto's trainer said the fight wasn't a done deal, but unfortunately still are crying about Berto. It doesn't matter, someone will always cry (bitter pac man fans) no matter who he picks

The fact that Floyd hasn't even announced the fight yet shows how much of an arrogant prick he is. I'm sure he's deluded himself into thinking that he has everyone fooled with this whole Berto fiasco. I think you're right except I doubt Mayweather thinks people are fooled. Honestly I think he could care less. Mayweather's motivation for this sport is obviously gone and he's only hanging around for the ridiculous amount of money he's making.

No, Mayweather does not always do a bate and switch. He says he is fighting Berto and I am pretty sure that is who he will fight in September. Mayweather made a big fat cherrypick. Simple as that. He's actually done the bait and switch for most of his last recent fights. I'm sure you know that because most of the pacquiao fans were giving him **** for entertaining a fight with spadafora, Matthew hatton, Devon Alexander, khan at one point before it switched to a duck, among others.

I believe the Devon Alexander thing was before he announced Guerrero. Regardless, this is a good point/post, but with just a month and a half to promote a PPV, it will likely indeed be Berto/CBS. The free boxing for all movement will have its apex, and PBC will hope to benefit from the hype/fallout.
