This guy sucks as a commentator it always sounds like he does not know what he is talking about lol and tonight his fight proved it. While Flores is commentating he often makes mention how a boxer must cut off the ring and that is the first thing you learn in a boxing gym, he also comments on boxers who rather move and makes a point to iterate that they are boxing and it is not running and so forth. All sounds good right, well lets fast forward to his fight tonight. He literally was lost with Shumenov movement and couldent figure out how to cut off the ring and was frustrated to the point he asked his corner in the 12round how to cut off the ring. Flores father (trainer) told him to cut off the ring and flores ask him HOW? lol. Then comes the post fight interviews (never mind the poor sport attitude they ahd while Shumenov interviewed) He calls Shumenov a runner and that he wasnt boxing but only running (when he commentates he makes it a point to call these type of fighters pure boxers lol). So basically this guy is just spewling bull**** when he commentating talking about something he knows absolutely nothing about. He is right. If you can't cut off the ring and cry running you are in other words admitting to your one dimension approach to things. They couldn't run away from Chavez Sr or GGG.

This guy just got punked in his own back yard. Pissed me off how he acted as if he'd won clearly at the end of the fight & gave shumenov very little credit. He thought his PBC connection + Haymon would guarantee him a tasty little bit of home cookin and bail him out but thankfully the judges scored right. Instead of taking his loss like a man he went on an embarrassing rant and ended up looking like a complete fool. Haha This guy will b lucky to get his commentator job back after showing what a ***** he is Only wish we could've seen David Hayes face after the fight after his joke of an interview.. I agree with everything you said 100%. I thought the robbery was coming. Thank god the judges got it right.

Dying @ "the clown of boxing" I don't think he's a bad commentator. But you can't defend movers in your commentary then cry when they box your socks off.

Don't really have an opinion one way or the other on his commentary But as a fighter, he was very solid, just couldn't land a big fight or when he did he came up short.. Kinda like rocky Juarez I think flores' best years were wasted away.. I remember thinking around 07,08,09 that he was destined to at least be in big fights with lebedev, adamek, Cunningham, toney, roy but he his big fight opportunities were few and far between

You had DJ doing Shumenov's keys to victory and he goes "if he steps back and throws the right hand it may be a short night for you BJ". He was sooooooooo pissed lol.

I hear you. I saw the first fight on the PBC card, switched over to Barao-Dillashaw, then flipped over to the HBO card with Pascal-Gonzalez fighting, totally forgetting about PBC in that time span. Watching Rico Ramos getting KO'ed was a treat for me.

Shumenov pulled a Lamont Peterson from the Garcia fight, only difference is he won :). Flores is incredibly lead footed, and has to blame himself for being unable to cut the ring off. You have to give credit to Shumenov's trainer for spotting Flores' lack of mobility in the tapes, and having his fight exploit it.

Hopefully BJ starts a thread asking who won the fight last night. He should have tried to get the Roy Jones fight, much more entertaining than that garbage fight vs Shumenov.

Not really, cause the 300-400K people that watched last night, were all hardcore fans, i'm pretty certain EVERYONE switched to HBO once 10:00pm hit. I hear you. If not right away that fight with that white guy versus Isiah Thomas took care of the rest~ That fight was really bad, I didn't even bother finding out the result.
