So after seeing another brutal KO by the Krusher, how long will it take for Ward to move up? I'm guessing he chooses to stay at 168 for a few more years.
People need to get real. Kovalev vs Ward is the course that nature will eventually take. It's bound to happen. The ball now lay squarely on Ward's lap whether he chooses to contradict nature or not.
Damn the demand has sure went up for ward to move up since he started calling out ggg.
Don't you mean since Ward fought at light heavyweight and GGG has a title fight to train for?
Maybe later next year at the soonest. Any negotiation that happen will be stalled or thwarted by team Ward with silly demands. He will take a few more tune ups.
My expectation is Ward vs Lacy this fall.
I think he might be aiming to have Geale move up to 172 so he can compare his win to GGG's.
How long will it take for GGG to stop being scared of a Ward fight at 168? There's your answer.
LMAO.....GGG has a title fight against another middleweight champion in his own division, it was official yesterday.
Time for Ward to stop begging smaller guys to move up and fight him. When will he realize that he isn't Mayweather and holds no negotiating power whatsoever over any other semi-popular boxer in the world?
172 is light heavy weight, no more excuses. What, he needs a few tuneups to fight a guy in his own division, isn't that what Hunter said, lol?

All signs point to him moving up to 175 by next year. If anyone would accuse Ward of ducking Kov it would be Kathy Duva but she has made it clear that there are discussions for the fight to happen.
What exactly does GGG have to do with the thread and questions the OP posted?
c'mon man....PLEASE stop ACTING stupid!!....Krusher is the appointed bodyguard for Mister 164 so stop acting like you don't know what's been going on around here since SOG hopped of the shelf and put the beats on poor Paul Smith....the Mister 164 fluff girls been trying to move SOG as far away as possible from their boyfriend....it's either 164 or Krusher for SOG in their eyes
Krusher vs SOG is a 50-50 fight imo....I doubt there will be a stoppage by either dude...BOTH are PROVEN and worthy of P4P status...a GREAT fight that I hope gets signed sealed and delivered real soon....I think many of you are setting yourselves up to look foolish down the road....similiar to the way you dudes SWORE Lucas would ice Swift....same sh*t different toilet
Sturm you say? Not even Stiglitz, right?...
Stieglitz just lost against Abraham, if you want to go by rankings, Ward would have to fight Abraham again. There is no good fights for Ward at 168.
isn't Chunky still trying to get the rematch with Groves? I think the only meaningful for Ward at 168 is against Golovkin and Golovkin is now fighting Lemieux, so Ward isn't getting any high profile fights this year. Maybe Ward should fight Felix Sturm as a tune up this year.

Virgil Hunter just said that Ward will move up when he will be sure he will get a "plainfield" or something like that... Do you need translation? :)
I see the fight happening within 15-18 months.
Only realistic meaningful fight for Ward at '68 is Chunky. Really no other reason then that to stick around at the division.

Man lay off the crack pipe! Did you just say that Ward, hasn't stopped anybody but a weight drained Chad Dawson, is gonna stop Kovalev? GTFO with that sh-it Kovalev is gonna ass rape Ward if Ward ever grows a pair and stops being a Caitlin! First you have to PRY Ward's ass out of Oakland for the fight to even happen cuz the diva Ward thinks he can draw, maybe with a crayon! Dude can't draw flies to sh-it with his ugly style of hug, headbutt, hug, headbutt!:fing26:
Are you saying Ward will duck the Krusher? What am I missing?
Kovalev vs Ward needs to happen ASAP. Only Ward can stop the Krusher. Last or first week of November/December would be just fine. It's the first money fight for Ward and Kovalev. I don't see any problem making this fight happen.

GGG is fighting Lemieux next and then he will probably wait for Cotto vs Canelo. I dunno how long Ward must wait for GGG...
Aye we know that now, I meant initially like, well less than 2 days ago. haha
So yeah, there's a few options for Ward, but I think he'll move to 175 within the next 12 months.
Kovalev got some fights to keep him going, obviously. Stevenson if it ever happens and ofcourse Gonzales, even a possible rematch with Pascal which I think no one wants to see really. . . . And yes, I'd love to see Ward vs Kovalev. I'd pick Kovalev as favorite, and I like both fighters, but would also love to see Ward win too.
