Really gotto love HBO. The Kovalev fight will not be broadcast on HBO Canada tonight because Pascal is on the undercard and that is enough to make this fight a PPV here in Canada. What a load of bullshit!!!
I guess that means one more nasty unsatisfied customer email to HBO Canada.
I paid 60 for kov pascal so I'm assuming this will be the same. That being said I can't find it anywhere on my tv listing.
Can't find it either, not on my listing at all.
I've been looking for it also and can find no trace of it on any schedule. I noticed it was not on HBO Canada tonight and automatically assumed it had been moved to PPV. Cannot see any other reason for it not to be shown here. I am on BELL Fibe and I would not be surprised if this was a Videotron cable available show only.
I am on Bell Aliant FibreOp and it is not listed on HBO or on PPV here. Stream here I come.
Well I finally found it. It is available, in Montreal at least, in FRENCH ONLY PPV for $54.99!!! I cannot imagine a bigger rip-off than that.

why dont you just get hbo go or something?
Not available up here man, hbo shows every other fight but whenever pascal or Stevenson fights, right to ppv. I don't mind if it's good like their fight but this **** tonight isn't worth it.
Post your email message bro? And how much you paying for hbo over there? Like 15$?
Email message is nothing special. I just stated that I have been a long time customer and I am very disappointed that every time a Quebec fighter is fighting, the card automatically becomes a PPV even with it is free on HBO which I pay for monthly. I understand it with local fights but not with fights from other countries where a fighter is not even the main event but on the undercard.
It's not what I spend per month, it is the principle of it. I also find it insulting that it is only available with French commentary, even though I am French and fluently bilingual.
Overall, it's really cheap. Costs me $15/month and that includes 5 TMN movie channels, all the Internet TMN streaming content as well as CRAVE TV which includes pretty much all the HBO and Showtime television series back catalogue - minus Californication and Shameless which I have pointed out to them in the past when they launched the service and asked us what we would like to see added, along with many other things like the entire Seinfeld and Cheers and Friends and every Star Trek series ever made all available for streaming over the net to my PC or portable device or on demand on my plasma. Well worth the price for that alone!

why dont you just get hbo go or something?
No such thing in Canada. We have TMNGo included in our package which is similar but does not give us access to whatever HBO US is streaming.

It has little effect on me because I will just stream the fight on the net from one of the many links I have. I just get pissed off at the cable providers here who try to strangle us for every damn cent they can get. I can understand for big fights that are local, such as any fight at the Bell Center being blacked out in Quebec. This is a normal thing with large sports events to ensure a decent crowd to see it live. But Pascal is not even the main event tonight and the fight is not in Canada which makes this total bull****.
Anyways, I've sent off a really nasty email to TMN/HBO about this and will see what they say.

Are the Stevenson ppv prices the same?
I wonder why so many fights get ppv over there, someone must be buying it?
I know UFC lost there tv deal, and ticket sales, and ppv for them have plummeted. But it seems like these Canadian boxers do extremely well there. Nice to see they support there own I guess.
The last Stevenson fight was an afternoon broadcast on CBS so it could not be made a PPV as there is no way to blackout an over the air broadcast station. I have no idea what previous PPV fights were going for as I will never pay for one and have no interest in checking the price.
Ticket sales for UFC events are always very good here in Quebec. What had a bad effect on them was the retirement of GSP. When he was fighting here for a UFC event, the Bell Center would sell out in minutes and all the bars were packed when his fights were on. Having a home town hero is very important for French Quebec fans and they are always well supported.

Damn, on fhe bright side that's probably tue only reason well get Golovkin/Lemiuex.
Without the canadian ppv $, I don't think this fight happens.

Yea not surprised, we've been getting hosed up here for years on boxing.
At least y'all got that healthcare and the pan am games going on
Lol I'll pass on the pan am games, it has completely screwed up traffic on highways with their car pool lanes that no one uses.
Tried to PVr the fight last night, couldn't find it at all even on PPV. Not a chance I pay even 1 dollar for this garbage mismatch. YouTube the KO later on tonight I guess.

All these Canadian dudes are ppv over there, Stevenson, pascal, lemiuex I believe.
I think its only like 25$ anyway.
