If Garcia KO's Paulie then they (mostly his fans) will say he's a beast at 147 and that he is one of the best.
If Paulie survives and Garcia wins a decision (which we know he will if it goes the distance cause the cards are pre filled) then they will say it was a good fight and Garcia outboxed a REJUVENATED aka roided Paulie since he hooked up with Memo. Thus making Garcia a top WW.
Yeah, 2 or 3 years later. So what? Hopkins beat Jones when they were ancient, doesn't mean sh*t.
Judah was still the same fighter more or less. An inactive fighter who cant pull the trigger, and looks for counter uppercuts too much.
Garcia had a tough time once judah let his hands go, paulie out classed him so bad judah didn't even attempt to go offensive.
No comparison.
Im actually excited for this fight. Like both fighters and think Paulie will not be as easy as some think. Garcia struggles with these type of boxers
Could you possibly be anymore of a mark for PBC?
I don't like Garcia but I like Paulie even less. I hope Garcia knocks Paulie out. It wouldn't make Garcia any more of a beast than Porter or Khan. Paulie was a big fat cherry pick just like all of Garcia's fights are lately. Angel talks tough but look who Danny fights. Haymon is the adviser of both Khan and Garcia so why not have the two cherry pickers rematch each other?
That sums it up perfectly for me. Too bad there is no way that they both can lose.
That's interesting considering paulie gave judah a complete boxing lession.

That's exactly how Judah fought, and Garcia had zero trouble landing on Judah. And Judah was a hell of a lot better then than Paulie is now. Judah was also tougher.

Judah did give Danny some problems, though. And I disagree about Judah being tougher, he's quit a few times and has fallen apart mentally. Paulie to his credit, has taken some beatings but he's always shown major heart, much more than Judah.

This is at Welterweight, a weight that Paulie has a lot more experience at than Garcia.
If paulies legs aren't shot, he will box Danny's lights out.
I don't know why so many ppl think danny is a lock.
Danny is awful against fights who constantly move and jab. He has no ability to land anything against that style.

Bitter Pacquiao fans are in for a rude awakening. They're all wishing their hearts out that Danny knocks Paulie out but guess what, that aint happening. Paulie is by no means a great boxer, but he moves his feet and won't get clipped hard enough to be hurt by Danny. Trust me on this one.
Not everything has to do with Manny or Floyd...remember when Paulie was bad mouthing Al Haymon then ran over to him and signed now you'll never hear a bad word.
He's just a hypocrite like no other. The guy talks out his azz...but he's a great commentator on air gotta give him that.

I didn't say Paulie would win.

Paulie isn't even a bad fighter. He has a good all around boxing ability but has very little power. If Paulie can stay away from Garcia's left hook then he could probably take it to the scorecards.
I hope he beats the feathered eyebrows off that panzy...
Paulie is a windbag..talks so much stuff and can't break an egg.
Garcia needs to knock this dude out and do us all a favor.

:lol1: TS is a known and proud Swift hater...but I give him props for not trying to sugarcoat his dislike though
As for the thread topic...it's the complete opposite imo....it's a lose lose because people will say Paulie is shot if he gets iced...if Swift struggle then the flood gates will be flooded with harsh criticism!!...rightfully so!!
Not the opponent I wished for Swift because there's no credit attached to Paulie now days... I would've liked to see him in with Devon or rematch with Khan
Yeah Devon or Chavez might be a reasonable way to work into 147 if you didn't want to pick one of the very top of the division. The only thing I can see that might make Garcia look good is if he outboxes Paulie and looks sharp from a technical standpoint. Still, you won't get much for this W especially after Porter crushed him. And if it's close or an L... well Garcia's stock slippage will just continue. So yeah, it's fair to view this as a L/L situation.
I think he can be better than he has shown us lately, so I'm hoping this will go well enough and he can fight someone legit at 147.
As everybody else has said, it's a lose-lose situation for the Gift Garcia.
I fully expect him to struggle in spots against Paulie and look bad, the blueprint is out on him and even a shopworn feather fisted fighter like Paulie will probably make Danny boy look bad. Early KO/TKO or not an impressive showing by Garcia here.
