Cotto gets beat in the first round of the tournament. Golovkin and Canelo have byes
Lara vs Cotto
Quillin vs Lee 2.
Lara and Quillin advance
Golovkin brutalizes Quillin and Lara gets the decision he rightfully deserves after getting robbed against Canelo.
Golovkin Knicks out Lara in round 6.
That sounds valid. I would like to add that all fights must be completed within 6 months. This cannot go on for two years, it would be ridiculous.

ummm based on?

His one notable win is via DQ after he got tagged and faked a seizure
He deserves some credit for a close fight with Froch
but:
Hell no, wtf
Dirrell is a running, clinching, wrestling fighter with a weak chin and no heart. Froch beat him fair because he ran too much and held too much. He has some skill but not enough to be a champion. He was starting to come apart in the Abraham fight and Abraham would knock him out in a rematch. The Dirrell brothers will never be better than pretty good fighters.
He was schooling Abraham..knocked his ass down too..Abrahams never been anything above 160..

Dirrell got SUCKER PUNCHED while sitting on the canvas..get it straight.
Where's the Lara option? He fought Canelo at MW and beat him so that's 1 guy out of the way. He is trying to campaign at 160 too.
Yeah i agree. I think Lara could hang with the guys at 160.
Who wins it...........
Matchups are the key. They would skew it to get GGG/Canelo in the final because that is the biggest money fight. So I'd say its most likely one of them.
If you just put names in a hat and pulled them out randomly, and therefore the possibility of GGG/Canelo is in round 1, I might go with Quillin or Cotto.
damn all of pueto lico voted on this one :luvbed:
And it seems like Quillin is a member here because someone voted for him and I cannot figure out who would possibly do that other than Quillin himself.
Should have been a public poll. :boxing:
Cotto shouldn't be in the list... Should be substituted with Jacobs. I believe Golovkin, Canelo and Jacobs would come out with the best wins. Jacobs is often over looked, he is talented, Strong, Fast, Throws Good Combinations and Has a good Ring IQ. Personally I would take Jacobs in a fight against Lee,Quillin, Cotto and Lemieux.
It's not really that good. Cotto isn't even a middleweight and is past his best. Quillin and Lee are on a similar level of averageness. Lemiuex is poor. Canelo is OK but not proven at middleweight. Hasn't even really made himself stand out from the crowd at 154.
So? You could say that same thing about almost all the divisions in boxing.
What division is considered, "strong", besides Welterweight?
also, lol @ the results. Canelo or Golovkin would win--- anyone with a brain/ability to think logically knows this.
U can say that in hindsight sure. But when the super six was finalized, Ward was considered the least likely to win it. U guys are being extremely revisionist right now. And SMW was much deeper than even that. U had Bute, Bika, Johnson etc right under those guys. It was a extremely packed division in those years. Nothing like middleweight is now.
Ward was the 2nd favorite (based on odds) to win the Super 6. He was a narrow underdog to Kessler/AA (who were about even).
It's funny when you look at that list because people always say how horrible the division is when in reality it's really not. Golovkin or canelo takes it.

Rare to find someone that thinks Froch won that fight.
