Ok so we all know by now she would rag doll Floyd in an MMA fight and possibly even beat him up and school him for 12 rounds or stop him late in a boxing match. But how does Rousey do against someone more physical like One Time? In an MMA fight, he might last past most of the rest. I watched a few interviews with Thurman where he claims he was heavily into wrestling before he got in to boxing. Says he was pretty good too. Says the same intensity he brings in the boxing ring he would bring out on the mat. I don't know about his juijitsu. He'd likely be done as soon as they get to the mat but his arm might be safe for a few rounds. As for a boxing match, I'd say he does better than Floyd. He needs to get inside and use his power. Thurman has a good jab. He might last the full 12 but he probably gets his ass kicked as well. I might see a rematch for those 2 too. That's just what I think.

Thurman knocks her out stupid thread
Dude.......... she's naturally weaker than a man, she'll beat the average guy but an athlete that trains eveyrday is not going to be easy, especially an athlete that trains to fight.
Dude..........You're not factoring in anything aforementioned. You're just stuck on the fact that she's a girl.
Fu@k mma, fu@k ronda, fu@k kings landing and fu@k the king!!!

Yeah I agree that it's not a trivial barrier. Even getting to 10% body fat is next to impossible for a woman, but many top male athletes are in single digits. And that's just one of the biological disadvantages she'd be walking in with. If she's fighting a top male boxer in an mma match, she's gonna have to focus on dodging punches and turning it into a wrestling match asap. Otherwise she gets knocked out badly.
Obviously any male non-fighter at her weight is likely cruising to a quick beating.
What? I'd bet on Tanaka to beat Salazar everyday of the week.
Tanaka is light as **** but he no *****. Plus Salazar is 45.
I'd pick Amanda Serrano to beat a washed up journeyman at minimumweight. Maybe.
She's a woman ffs, technique can only carry you so far. :dunce:
Dude She's not just a woman. She's not one of those petite little girls you meet at a bar. She's thick, she has big legs, she knows how to channel her weight for leverage. She is a fighter. She appears to 'be these things. The way she hip tossed that interviewer I'm certain she can fireman carry 135lb guys with ease.
Remember were talking about skin and bone 135lb men. These guys are easy as **** to lift up. We're not talking about 6'2 220lb guys. That wouldn't even be fair.
I'm all for equality and not one for sexism but there are segregated male and female sports for a reason. If a male boxer lands shot on Rousey, she would be out cold before she hit the floor.
That's no disrespect to her, it's just how it is. Look at Tennis, the Williams sisters (both amazing female players no doubt) once claimed they could beat any guy ranked below 200, so they played a guy called Karsten Braasch ranked 203 in the world, who then beat them both in a row and he said there's no way they could beat any guy in the top 500 and Braasch said afterwards He said that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game "fun."
It might sound silly in compare these things to MMA/Boxing but it's not. Although they were all tennis players, the gulf between men and women's strength, speed, endurance etc..when it comes to sports is just too big. I played Football (soccer for the americans) for England under 16's when i was a teenager and we had a friendly game against the full England ladies national team who complete in the women's world cups and we comfortably beat them without even breaking a sweat and we were just 15-16 year old guys. The physical advantages are just too much.
I know Rousey is MMA and she has the ground techniques but it wouldn't even get to that. A welterweight boxer is just way too big and strong for her. Nevermind Thurman. If she was in there with Floyd Mayweather, she would be out cold within about 10 seconds.
Well I don't agree that every male boxer beats every female boxer BUT yeah all of the competitive male pros will have a distinctive biological advantage and likely completely own any female boxer. The lower you go though the more competitive the top women could hypothetically be.
Other thing is that MMA and Boxing are two different beasts. Some of the ways you avoid getting hit in boxing won't save you in MMA, plus you have new concerns to deal with (wrestling, submissions, knees to the face...). But in the other direction you lose access to many of your skills going from the octagon to the ring. So I think majority of MMA fighters beat boxers in MMA and vice versa.
Nonetheless, this topic is getting really tired really quickly. I assume the OP was just trying to take a stab at all the anti-Mayweather stans who have been hyping a ridiculous match between May and Rousey, but even still I think it's a pointless thread.
Please people, stop doing this.
Rousey would get sparked out badly by the entire top 100 of super featherweights in her own weight division. There's no need to matcher her with welters.
Depends on the fight. The minute she grabs one of the dumbells heads she piledrives them clean through the octagon. I would not be supeised if she power bombed one of those 130lb guys multiple times.
If she's not allowed to grab, they beat her. Simple as that.
RIGHT NOW, Ronda wins without a doubt. But she doesn't floor Keith like she would floyd. Keith will probably make it to the 12th but in bad shape. I can't wait to see female vs male fights for real with the whole equality movement. Id love to see Ronda catch some bodies in boxing.
