Not that I am necessarily in favor of this fight, I dont necessarily think ne of them have ne thing to gain.
With that said B Hop called out GGG. It would have to be at some kind of catch weight as well.
Hopkins wants to go out with a bang, and if GGG can crack that Legendary chin that has to boost his profile. Hopkins has never been stopped, tho the Krusher had him.
At 165-170 for catch weight.
I dont know about that. At light heavy Bernard probably wins that unless he is just a shell. Totally different monster.
Just for the record GGG is nowhere near the stratosphere of BHop all time. Doubt he ever gets there
I'm not saying that. I love B Hop. I'm just saying dude is 50. I can't see him doing much else.
GGG can beat Hopkins at 175 no matter what he weighs in at. No interest in this fight.

if GGG wins it wont be the "name" he needs, but it will be a good test for his skills.
the name he needs? hopkins is like 75 years old. really a lose lose fight for ggg but the way he needs a known opponent i could see him doing it
Wow u think so? I think its a slight possibility, B Hop still has some pop but he doesn't pull the trigger like he used to.
Yeah.. That's why I said if he isn't totally shot and old,,, which he probably is..
Hopkins and ward are style nightmares for Golovkin ..
I would much rather see froch fight either one than them fight each other
Hopkins would carve him up if bernard isn't totally shot and old...
Hopkins-ggg is basicslly hopkins-tito 2

Sorry about not finishing the post. I had some computer problems. I would like to see this great fighter retire unhurt. Now would be a good time for him to do that. He is not the best light heavyweight in the world and he never will be again so why keep fighting at his age.
I really think Kovalev could easily have KOed Hopkins but didn't try to put him away out of respect for a legend. I can't prove it but I believe it. GGG is a nice guy out of the ring but a killer in the ring. Hopkins will go out with a bang alright. He might get carried out on a stretcher. I am a huge Hopkins fan but he is 50 and it is starting to show. He needs to fight someone else for his final fight. Fighting GGG would be a terrible way to end his career. He promised his mother he would retire when he turned 40 so he should keep his promise even if it's ten years late. He is mentally sharp as can be right now but if he keeps taking head punches he might not stay that way. He must be very wealthy and

I think BHOP feels that it would play out like the Pavlik fight did but I think GGG will be able to trap BHOP and hurt him along the ropes.
No point. Hopkins has everything to win,ggg has everything to lose. If Hopkins wins,he slayed the monster that everyone was afraid of,and even if he loses,he had the balls to fight ggg. if ggg wins,he beat a 50 year old, weight drained Hopkins at a catch weight. If he loses,he's the biggest bum in history for losing to a 50 year old Hopkins. Boxing is funny that way.
exactly. I rather see ggg vs sog
GGG doesn't have the natural athleticism of Kovalev to bounce in and out, and stop on a dime like he can. If this was 1 year ago, B-Hop, he'd win, but at this point 55-45, in favor of Hopkins.
GGG is more of a cruise straight ahead, and use boxing skills to fight you. Kovalev while having boxing skills as well, also has a level of lower body coordination that allowed him to wipe out B-Hop in almost every round.
