Just look at these highlights. Holy s.... I musta forgot how much of a beast he is. He has very good conditioning; just look how his punch output increases in the later rounds.

I voted no. Lucas is an NSB favorite that gets over rated because NSB likes fighters with pop in their punches.
I do not think he is going to beat Postol, let alone Floyd.

Could he beat him? Yes, it's called a punchers chance for a reason
Would he beat him? I severly doubt it, I think Mayweather beats him 9 times out of 10
As much of a Matthysse fan as I am, I don't see but the slimmest of possibilities for him to win. He can't outbox Mayweather, and he can't use a size advantage like Maidana did. He would have a puncher's chance, but so have many others who failed. i do think Matthysse can take Pacquiao, and I hope that fight materializes before Pac retires.
Mayweather outworks, outsmarts, has a high connect % and maybe even KO's the reckless, unrefined Matthysse. No chance in hell, very similar to a fight with glass chinned Khan. Mayweather looks tremendous in this fight.
Bet your life on it and do humanity a favour .
I'll bet my life that the fight doesn't happen. I'll bet your life on Matthysse winning so at least I'd have something to cheer me up after another boring Floyd fight.
Why bring up those fights? im taling about Garcia outboxing Lucas, and he punched him in the damn face and closed his eye, then floored him...save the excuses,i dont but it
because for a TBE! f@ggotron, it's surprising you don't know what outboxing means. i offered you two proper examples so you can educate yourself.
it was a punch doe
and people forgot the first 6 rounds where gift looked like a pedestrian getting hooked to death. he looked garbage for like 6 rounds straight till he scrapes matthysse's eye with whatever that bullsh*t slap was and takes over. even then he barely scrapes by on points according to official scoring. lucas still put up a fight. gift didn't outbox sh*t
did you watch garcia-herrera or garcia-peterson? cause that's what outboxing someone looks like.

He doesn't just have power though that just further makes it intriguing.
There are different types of power and you have to factor in so many different things timing, accuracy of the shot etc
Floyd seen most of their shots coming he never against Corley and was clearly buzzed, he didn't see Shane's shot coming if he did it was very late.
If Lucas hits him or anybody clean he can and will hurt them. It don't matter how good these cats chins are if Lucas lands clean you will feel it no matter how well you might masque it, you'll know you've been hit.
Can he still take them at his age? Over 12 rounds like he could when he was younger?
Matthysse has also always worn powerlocks and his power has been devastating so no more glove advantages
Just because a fighter losses to one deemed lesser doesn't mean sh*t.
No two fights are the same and just because a young, big at the weight Danny Garcia ate some absolute bombs from Lucas or Ruslan with his 50lb head doesn't mean a 40yr old Floyd can.
D Garcia ate bombs from Holt too, I don't doubt he has a hell of a chin on him, same with Ruslan.
We've seen Floyd rocked by lesser fighters, we've also seen bigger punchers than them not put a dent in him.
Hell Corley probably hurt him more than Oscar and a lot of guys. There are so many factors.
Floyd don't have the power Danny Garcia does to deter him and the lowblows certainly played a part.
Even with one eye, after 20+ low blows, he finished the fight stronger.
So what if he lost a close fight to the #1 at 140
Why should we watch him fight say Thurman over Lucas? An inexperienced guy who hasn't fought absolutely anybody and is stylistically an easy fight.
He lost a fight, we get it. Cotto, Mosley, Manny, Marquez, Maidana and so on all lost several along the way.
I don't see any substantiation for these two assertions. Who else besides Mosley ever "rocked" Floyd? Do you have any video?
And Floyd has shown enough snap -- if not tremendous power -- to deter just about everybody he's fought. Again I point you to the Canelo fight. Floyd jabs, moves, snaps Canelo's head back, moves and snaps again. Single punches that are timed perfectly and that clearly sting. What does Canelo do in response? The same thing everyone else does. Nothing. He becomes tame. Maidana kept coming, kept throwing overhand rights and wild punches...to no good effect as he -- like everyone else -- was out-punched and outscored round after round.
I agree Matthysse could win maybe 3 rounds or something and "give Floyd a fight" to THAT extent, but if you can't see Floyd's vast superiority over everyone else in boxing today you need to get your brain checked.
Danny Garcia outboxed him man, seriously that really happened
