Thats why he is not being promoted because he reportedly has one fight left with top rank, and once its over Brandon Rips will go to Pbc. Top Rank is trying to sideline Rios till the end of the year for one more fight against Bradley where they hope he looses. So when he looses his stock will drop. By keeping him unactive he will likley loose his next fight because of not being inactive
Here we go again....it fckin baffles me that you dudes give any sort of relevance to this brandon rios character.
bum bum or whatever you call him IS PURE GARBAGE AND HAS NEVER BEATEN AN ELITE OPPONENT, FOR GOD'S SAKE THE KID WAS ON HIS WAY TO LOSE TO DIEGO CHAVES....why are we talking about him again?
Exactly.
Yup, Robert expressed discontent with Top Rank and said that Haymon is treating him good at the moment.
This could set up Rios vs Mayweather which floyd has avoided for years. Bam Bam knocks him out cold, mark my words. There is a reason why floyd has avoided the fight so hard. Same with Provodnikov, floyd hid in a hotel bathroom when Provo was present.
Why would Floyd duck the human punching bag.
He's pretty much exhausted his options under TR so going to PBC & getting in the ring with all their top 147lbers seems like a move to make to grab some crash before his career is done. Also it gives Broner a name guy he can beat.
broner aint beating rios lmfao that fight is 100% wrong for broner.
I don't see his manager Cameron Duncan advising him to go to pbc. That would take away cam's power with hbo and too rank..which is pretty considerable for a manager. He's also made rios a lot of money
Question:
Is Dunkin's power/influence with HBO due to him working with Top Rank, or vice versa?
Because the days of Top Rank being the defacto house promoter for HBO are seemingly done.
If Dunkin's influence at HBO was due to his work with Top Rank, and Top Rank is seeing fewer and fewer dates come his way, why wouldn't Dunkin think about taking his fighters to the guy with an excessive amount of TV dates (who also regularly stacks his fight cards with 10-13 bouts per show)?

Never had much reason to look into the guy, but he seems solid enough and a pretty straightforward and relatively honest arbiter, and it's not like Haymon is oppposed to working with other managers (Luis DeCubas Sr/Jr do a good amount of business with Haymon, as does Contursi and other managers).
So why not? Rios is almost finished with Top Rank, Mikey Garcia is currently in legal limbo, and they have Marcos Maidana working out of the gym (where they've been able to see and kinda experience how business is done with Haymon, good or bad).
No idea how many fighters are with Duncan, let alone who they are, but what's barring him from saying "Thanks for the support, but there's not enough business coming through Top Rank to keep the fighters I'm looking after enough work; we'll look elsewhere"? He's got to fulfill whatever fights owed to Top Rank, but that's it.

^^^^source?
Well, on NSB he will be a beast everyone is scared of if he re-signs with Top Rank, or a fraud bum if he starts being managed by Haymon.
well for one crowd you're right.
the other crowd thats called him a bum w top rank, will then call him a legit welter if he signs with haymon :lol1:
I thought he looked pretty good against Alvarado. Although Alvarado wasn't exactly in the best shape for that fight.
I thought he look good against Alvarado as well.
**** it I give him credit
Jotto's fans give him credit regardless of the garbage he has been fighting as of late.
The Top Rank pool of WW is pretty small. So a move would open up more opitons. I do like the Bradley fight however.
I'm not sure there's many 'name' WW's are out there that i see Rios beating.
LOL sorry bro you just made it seem like hes just a piece a cr ap fighter who sucks and only has fans because he has balls. My bad. I love Rios as a fighter. Hes not your god gifted skilled fighter. He has lots of flaws but he give his all 100% of the time and he has all the heart in the world. I love that in a fighter.
Which is why people like Rios as I stated. But how are you going to show any of that in mismatches?
No SH IT Sherlock. That's how to get a fan base by having balls and fighting anyone. Id rather watch Rios give his all and fight a tough fight and lose than watch the premadonna's who try look pretty and win. I'll always watch a fighter with all the heart in world who has flaws but tries his best and fights anyone over a guy who has all the talent and skill but doesn't give 100%.,
Why are you mad? I'm a fan of Rios moron, why would I want to see him fight easy fights? To admire his technique or boxing ability?
In a vid the other day robert garcia said pbc treats rios better than top rank lol.. So what you say kinda makes sense
Top Rank treats it's fighters like sh*t, every fighter except Manny has wanted to leave. Cotto, Floyd, Garcia, Gamboa and I keep going and going. Oscar... Rios is just the next one in a long line of guys.
The thing is though, Top Rank makes you a better fighter and don't feed your ego or baby you more than build you.
ROBERT GARCIA SAYS AL HAYMON AND PBC TAKE CARE OF BRANDON RIOS BETTER THAN TOP RANK
He was talking about PBC giving them tickets. If there's one thing PBC is good at, it's giving away tickets.
