Khan has only had 4 fights above the light welterweight limit but overall has he fought better opposition at the weight than both Brook and Thurman who have had 60 fights combined?
Khan's opponents above 140 are ALL former world champions: Julio Diaz, Luis Collazo, Devon Alexander, Chris Algieri
Brook notable opponent at 147: Shawn Porter
Thurman notable opponents at 147: Robert Guerrero, Julio Diaz + (arguably) Carlos Quitana, Diego Chaves.
So there we have it.
Algeri-0 wins at 147
Collazo-wayyy past prime and was never a top fighter
Alexander-good win
Julio Diaz??? is a fvcking lightweight who hasnt won a fight since 2012 and still dropped Khan like a pile of sh1t
Algieri has alot of wins at welterweight and a couple over. Just not against any top guys. I thought the Khan fight was a draw.
Obviously khan has a better resume than both of them but thurman is quickly on the rise and doesnt back down from a fight..Brook on the other hand keeps fighting cab drivers
Oh really? Cos his next cab driver gave Thurman the toughest fight of his career :lol1:

Fair points, Thurman is on the come up while Brook has been fighting sheer bums for over a year now. Kell "Bum Fights" Brook has a kind of ring to it.. lol

both guys have terrible resumes at welterweight. brook has the only really good win though and has looked much better. people talk about ggg having a bad resume....geez
I don't even think Khan beat Algeri. All I have to do is look at the 1st round and I knew what was coming. Nothing happened except 2 big right hands by Algeri, somehow Khan won the round, lol.
Khan beat Algieri easy. It's the same thing that some people do with the Maidana fight. Truth is Khan beat both guys easy. Some people just try to fixate on the limited moments of success they had and ignore the actual thorough boxing lesson Khan was giving throughout most of the fight.
In fact Khan beat Algieri much easier than Floyd beat Berto.
Chaves, Algieri, Porter, & Alexander would beat that Judah.
I'm not so sure because at that time Judah was back on form and on a 3 year winning streak. He beat Matthysse only 8 months before he got dominated by Khan.
Thurman and Brook haven't even fought anyone as good as another washed up victim of Khan -- Zab Judah!
That's true, the version of Judah that Khan faced would probably beat everyone on Brook and Thurman's record.
So why didn't he fight Brook after he beat Hatton or Senchenko? Brook would have clearly been a bigger fight since he beat them both.
Hard to understand.
Sh1t opponents are sh1t opponents. Khan tried to fight them and then belittled them afterwards.
No doubt it would be bigger, but Brook is a tougher fight for your WW debut than a Matthew Hatton fight.
Of course, Hatton would then have been coming off a good win. Khan's first fight at WW would've been a massive show. Not so hard to understand is it?
No that's not the "bottom line". Fighting Senchenko or Matthew as your first fights at a new weight are a lot different than Kell fighting them past the 25 fight mark, a career Welterweight.

No one said they were career defining. You've just put your own little spin on it. Bottom line is that Khan tried to fight them and then called them sh1t after Brook beat them. You know damn well Amir would have jumped all over Matty Hatton had he beat Brook :lol1:
Khan is a two faced lying hypocrite and so are you so I'm not surprised by your continued desperate attempts to defend him.

I think Khan and Brook's opposition level is about even overall (@ 147), guess you'd have to give Khan the edge but ain't like Diaz, Collazo or Algieri are killers.
Thurman is younger so I give him a bit of a pass for even being in the conversation. Guerrero and Chaves were reasonably good wins though I'm hoping he steps up in his next fight.
He was looking at them as debut WW or a catch weight before a full WW fight and not as "career defining" as they are for Brook.

Lol.. Exactly. Brook "career highlights" are just Khan "stay-busy" fights.
