His resume is nowhere near Khan's, and he keeps trying to work this 'well he ain't fighting welterweights' angle. Which is transparent BS - Thurman's best win is against Robert Guerrero a guy who started his career at featherweight and has been campaigning at Welterweight since 2012. He hasn't beaten any of the hot guys in the division either, Khan's win over Devon is as impressive as anything Thurman has done in the division.
He is now fighting the guy who Khan beat in his first fight up at 147, who again is a true welterweight, but former champion who for the last 6-7 years has been a tough gatekeeper, nothing more. I am sick of hearing from this guy until he does something really impressive, and to say you are going to knock out a 50 year old trainer despite what they might have said is disrespectful, where has the respect in the sport gone? That is very bad taste, you should always respect your elders, not turn into a thug at the first sign of provocation.
Khan shouldn't have avoided fighters and had several setbacks. His overall resume is definitely better than Thurman but his WW resume is not much to speak of.
Thurman's resume is so far not great but he is on the upswing and has potential.
I would take Thurman over Khan in a fight at WW. Khan has the speed advantage but I see him crumbling from the pressure and the always chinny chin that Khan has. Khan still gets too rattled when pressured.
Alexander, Algieri, Collazo, Diaz
Chaves, Guerrero, Collazo, Diaz, Bundu
Pretty even imo, no major difference in their resume at 147. Khan has the better overall resume.
Does anyone favor Khan over Thurman on here?
I happen to think Khan would knock Thurman the fuk out, but before that he's gonna break Thurman's fists with his chin!

Con's days are numbered. Algieri with 3 KO's almost sent Con to hell. Thurman decapitates him in his own hometown of Bolton an spits his blood all over the crying Bridiots in the crowd. Possibly even pisses on an unconscious Con in the center of the ring.
This is not far-fetched. Very realistic possibility.
The Algieri with 8 KO's who knocked out 7 sparring partners? JDJ who trains Kovalev said he has good power but never planted his feet. Algieri will be one of the top contenders soon enough.
Khan will do what he did to Maidana to Thurman soon enough. Another hard hitter supposed to knock him out.
