Michel Soro vs GGG

Soro's had some meaningful fights with Baysongurov, Douglass, & Blandamura, and a high profile win vs an overrated Tapia, but if Golovkin fights Soro he'll take a ton of criticism for it. GGG's at a point right now he badly needs a high-level fighter on his resume. Korobov & N'Dam would arguably be the best he's fought in the pro's. I can't agree that N'Dam has a bad chin because he's never been stopped and he's fought numerous hard punchers: Quillin, Lemieux, Stevens, Khurtisidze, Bursak, & Lorenzo. His knockdowns most times are more of a balance issue than the lights getting flicked off. N'Dam/Golovkin is a lot like Lara/Golovkin, in that we'd get to see Golovkin's skills in tracking down a high-level mover. GGG took enough criticism vs Monroe that I think it warrants a match up between these guys. Though the recent revelation that Haymon tried to block Golovkin's fight at the LA Forum should put to bed further Golovkin/Lara talk. Zaurbek Baysangurov is a high quality boxer. A 22-year-old inexperienced semi-professional (his real job was working with troubled youths) Soro dropped him in the second round. Soro got gassed, he wins a rematch quite handily. I think he's gained confidence, his boxing skills are starting to match his natural ability. Knocking out Anderson Clayton, Glen Tapia, & Emanuele Blandamura within 3 months certainly got my attention. N'Jikam's resilience is curious, he instantly recovers when he appears seriously hurt. But maybe his chin is masked by his balance issues, he gets hit hard as he's leaning back and the impact of the blow is diminished as he drops to the canvas? Agreed on Haymon fighters being unrealistic. Fight Gilberto Ramirez in September. Fight Soro in November/December in Monaco. Fight Cotto/Canelo winner in May. :boxing:

Murray is awkward as hell and a tough task to everyone. In my book he is certainly better than N'dam or Lemieux. I don't know if he is better than Quillin, Lee and Jacobs but two out of those three aren't even available for Golovkin. Golovkin should push for a Lee fight if he really wants to stay in this division... That's probably the only meaningful fight for him in mw out of the Canelo vs Cotto's winner.

N’Jikam walked away from a Golovkin title fight in 2012 for a reason. His chin is incredibly suspect, hence getting dropped 10 times in 2 world title fights by one-dimensional sluggers. I no longer care about a GGG-N'Jikam showdown. Korobov? Let's see how he responds, is he unaffected by the Lee KO? Boxing politics are in the way for Jacobs, Quillin, and Lemieux. Soro's a nice prospect, but hell no I don't want him in with Golovkin right now. Soro would be a good fight for Khytrov, Magomedov, Eubank, or Murata. He looked good vs a pretty talented Antoine Douglass, but Douglass was only 21. If we're going to be forced to have Golovkin fight another MW outside of Lemieux, Lee, Quillin, Jacobs - then I'd rather it be Korobov or N'Dam. Soro apparently had a nice KO over some one very recently (a fight after Tapia) Blandamaru.... he beat Nader for the EBU in Germany, but then got KO'd by BJS. Soro should have a fight with N'Dam or something like that.... all France bout. Abel has experience against him too because i think he coached Baysangurov when Soro lost... who should've won that fight
