Arturo Gatti may not have been an elite fighter but he did compete in 5 Fight Of The Year, a Two division champ. Those alone are not hall of credentials. At all.

Ward has HOF potential that's for sure. Likely not yet, but he's got a strong resume and the ability to beat top fighters, so he may be on his way.

Ward probably already no worse than #2 as the greatest Super Middleweight of all time only behind Calzaghe and he is only 31 and with that 2 years layoff he is a young and rested 31 who haven't taken any punishment so by the time he is done he will go down as the greatest Super Middleweight Ever. Carl Froch is far more valuable to the sport of Boxing than the unmarketable Andre Ward. 77,000 British fans bought tickets to see Carl Froch knockout Groves in his last fight, how many people paid to see Andre Ward? He's contributed NOTHING to this sport. You do not get into the HOF because you can sell tickets to ONE big fight. Froch does not belong any more than Ward does. Yes he's a hall of famer. IF he retired now he would get in. Just look at his accomplishments. He's an Olympic Gold medalist. He's has dominated the super middleweight division the last several years and he has dominated all his fights. He hasn't lost a fight since he was a teenager, dating back to his younger amateur days. But his professional career has been great. He started his career a little slow but once he entered the Super 8 tournament, he blew through it and won all his fights. Since then he has dominated all his fights. Say what you want but he is a hall of famer right now. His professional run has been great. You really DKSAB to you? Do you even follow the sport? Ward has done absolutely nothing in boxing the last few years. Fighting three times in 4 years is hardly dominating his division. And once again... it was the SUPER SIX tournament, not SUPER EIGHT. No. IMO he'd have to have defended his multiple world titles he held multiple times, dominating the opposition. Then moving up to 175lbs and winning world titles there would seal it for me. Well he could get into the HOF without going up to 175lbs if he defended his 168lbs titles on 13-15 occasions, but Ward is going up to 175lbs at some time in his career anyway.

I think he should win a few more big fights before that but he is close to HOF. But it's senseless to ask a question like this here. Ward is a widely hated fighter here from some reasons and most of these guys would say that he isn't HOF member even if he would beat up Wlad and unify all the hw titles...

If you don't think he is a hall of famer right now, then why don't you ask one of experts who vote on it. Ask Thomas Hauser, Kevin Iole or go to the Boxing Writers Association of America website and ask their experts. Most of the writers their have a vote on who gets in and I can assure you 90% will say he gets in right now. :lol1: Are you just name dropping for the hell of it? Or do you know them personnaly? By no means is he a lock at this point. Thats if he retired today. With that said he is well on his way and im sure will find himself in the HOF

Bute and Groves 2 were the most important fights of his career by a mile, literally nobody cares about that silly tournament from 5-6 years ago where Ward avoided leaving the US at all costs because he needed his special referee to let him get off with headbutting and grabbing his more talented and exciting opponents. Ward won the tournament, a gold medal and a world title, yet still can't sell out a bingo hall in his home town, so what does that tell you? full troll, guys. congrats. we broke his spirit.

It's because the other side finally realize their fighter's are not going to look good against certain fighters and are scared for them to lose.
