Every time I open a new thread I get instant pop ups left and right. Ads that bring me to the iTunes Store trying to purchase something. It's getting out of hand.
Yeah, I don't know what the **** I'm doing wrong, in getting Clobbered by ads. They tale me to the android market to buy games 7 year old girls play. And then I download them and play them. :fing26:
I hate them too. Almost bought a truck the other day...then i said no i want another Harley..then i just decided to go to Old Navy to get some new shorts. Couldnt understand why
How did you disable Java on your phone? Is that what causes all the ads?
You press the menu key when you're in your browser, go into site settings, scroll down to javascript and turn it off.
It can limit your browsing experience, but it will pretty much stop the ads and pop ups.
The pop ups are getting pretty bad. Both on my phone and work computer. I thought the idea was that if you were signed in you weren't supposed to get them any longer?
You have an iPhone and you are getting ads for iTunes. Who do you think may be behind the ads? Microsoft? Drink the Apple koolaid and you get what you deserve.
Meh stop crying about apple, it's just a free work phone.
The question I asked though is, are the pop ups legit adverts that boxing scene get paid for?
I do. It's terrible. The adds cover up what I am trying to read and there is no X to click them off. My other complain is boxing scene's bad over use of the word feel. They always quote boxers saying he feels this or he feels that. They never say a boxer thinks this or says this. It's always feels as if it's against the law to use a more accurate word. I feel this stinks. The ads are so bad I'll leave the site even though I want to stay and read more.
I tend to use my laptop for BoxingScene and not my phone.
I don't get any ads, but the website hardly ever loads when i'm on Firefox. I have to go on Chrome to get the website to load..and i hate Google. Them some nosey mofo's.
I browse on iphone too. So irritating, does the site just get hacked on the regular? or do they actually push the adware for $$$?

Someone who use internet explorer? I thought it was just a myth!
Most computer professionals use IE. I have no Google software on my computer and only access Google based sites like YouTube in a private browser session that sand boxes the site from the rest of my system. IE is the most secure browser on the market, despite what the usual Google and Firefux fans will try to tell you and it needs no add-ons like ad blockers or pop up blockers as everything is integrated in the browser. Of course there are the usual Microsoft haters and Apple tards who actually know very little about computers who will soon go on the attack in this thread like rabid dogs. So this will be my only post on the matter. There is no point in arguing with idiots who know little or nothing about computers but think they know everything.
I use tracking protection in IE11 and have never seen so much as one ad on this site since I have been a member. Don't see ads on any other forum I belong to either. No special ad blocker or pop up blocker required. Just what is included in the browser.
