Fonfara coming off a good win vs Chavez Jr.
He would come to win.
Ward would prove he is back and have a solid argument to face Adonis or Kovalev as a legit LHW if he wins.
There should be no nitpicking about negotiations from Fonfara, probably they could lowball him and hed take the fight.
Most importantly it should be a damn good fight.
Thoughts?
It didn't show in his last fight, he looked razor sharp. Put on an absolute clinic. Watching him box is a thing of beauty. Andre Ward's style is about as close to flawless as you can get.
I still can't see anyone beating him.
At the rate Ward fights, he probably has 7 good years (roughly 14 fights) left in him. I don't see anyone at 168 beating him.

Fonfara is with al haymon
Won't work with rocnation
Never happens
Crap, for some reason though he was with Duva.
Goddamn politics.
No because Ward is a 168lb fighter.
How about Groves then?
Groves is fighting Badou Jack in August.
:lol1::lol1: desperately trying to keep Ward away from GGG...it won't work bro...Ward will put hands on GGG sooner or later whether ya'll like it or not!!...God need more grandsons lol
Yes it does. The world needs to know who the best at 172 is.
Plus we all know Ward can't make 168 again.
How do we know that?
"We" being Golovkin diehards who are desperate for Ward to evacuate the weight class so Gennady is safe.
Andre Ward is of one the finest specimens of boxing I have ever seen.
I absolutely believe he can handle anybody at 175. He doesn't have much time left in his career, I think he should go for the gusto now and secure his legacy.
Ward still has more time than many world-level fighters because of his inactivity. I think he'll become disinterested with boxing before his body breaks down.
I wanna see Duckenson vs Fonfara II :boxing:
Why? Other than that 2-3 rounds it was really an easy job for Stevenson. He got KD-d but let's not forget that he won comfortably.
I would like to see Fonfara either against Beterbiev or against Eleider Alvarez. Both are Haymon fighters and both are up and comer prospects.
Ward doesn't have many immediate options at 168.
Groves is fighting Jack
No way Hearn allows DeGale to fight Ward for his first defence, it would ruin the Groves rematch which would be HUGE if Groves beats Jack.
Froch is probably going to retire.
Chudinov is fighting Buglioni
Arum wouldn't make the Ramirez fight
His best option would probably be the Stieglitz-Abraham winner
I like Fonfara but it wouldn't be a good fight. I mean I always enjoy watching Ward boxing but by the classic term it wouldn't be a competetive, good fight. Fonfara would barely win 1-2 rounds.
and it's not realistic sunce Fonfara is with Haymon.
