What would've happened if Broner-Maidana was 15 rounds?

Without the cheap shot at the end of rd 11 Maidana continues to pummel him. With that cheap shot, Broner couldve TKO'd him late. That shot really got Maidana woozy.

Maidana would have finished teaching that kid Spanish ko'ing him in the process. It would have been far more interesting if the Khan vs Maidana fight was 15 rounds because I think Khan was out on his feet and barely managed to finish the fight. I think El Chino would have ko'ed him if it went 3 more rounds.

Broner would be an atg 15 round fighter

I think Broner may have been able to rally some but he still loses. He took a lot of punishment that fight. Best case is Maidana completely gassed and Broner caught him with something big and won by KO but I doubt that.

broner ko's maidana with 1 second left in the 15th. same thing would have happened in the porter, de leon, quintero fights. these guys got lucky.

After the 12th: Pace slows considerably with both having a low output. Both flat footed Both fighting in spurts. very close rounds.

chino, even when broner was coming back in the 12º maidana rocked him hard with a left hook midway the round. and that was constant thing during the fight, every time it looked like broner was coming back maidana put him in his place with something big, getting things back to normality Good observation.

Objectively, watch the 12th round; Maidana was gassing out a bit and Broner was coming on strong. I am not saying Broner would have won. I just think it would have been interesting. He was pushing Chino to the limit.

The only reson Broner would've had any sort of chance was because he hurt Maidana with a punch after the bell when Maidana had his hands down, it was a sucker punch out of desperation, had that not happened I still see chino getting the decision. Maidana should have kept his hands up. Protect yourself at all times. Not most of the time. Not 99% of the time. All times! Broner is not a classy boxer. He played the knockout game against an old lady.

Broner would have lost to Emmanuel taylor

Maidana wins by an even larger margin. Maidana looked buzzed at the beginning of the 12th from the punch after the bell, which allowed Broner to come on somewhat. However, both guys looked tired and at around the one minute mark, Maidana wobbled Broner with an overhand and resumed nailing him with big shots while Broner's punches had lost their steam. If Broner needed assistance walking out of the arena after 12 rnds, then imagine the condition he would have been in after three additional rounds of punishment. Not sure if he makes it to the final bell.

Broner was coming on strong but he was 5,7 and 8 points behind after the 12th so he would have lost a decision anyway.

Hard to judge. That hook Broner landed at the end of the bell was devastating and hurt Maidana. But then again that unknown powder Ariza had him take gave him a second wind too. I think Maidana would have got knocked down once but ultimately would have still won a SD/MD. Unknown powder. :lol1:

Both fighters would have trained and paced themselves differently, and it would have gone exactly the same but with 3 more rounds. You can't just add 3 rounds to the end of a 12 round fight. Fighters train for those 12 rounds.

AB had to be held and carried out of the damn arena after 12. he wouldn't have been in the condition to survive 3 more rounds of chino madonna. i believe he would've gotten killed.

Broner is like Zab Judah, in the way that he only starts fighting when his opponent is not fighting. Actually, he's worse.
