Lemieux was KOed by Marco Rubio 4 years ago and you saw what GGG did to Rubio. Rubio's punches bounced of GGG like rain off a duck and one big punch from GGG and it's all over for Rubio in short order.
What?
Lemieux dropped N'Dam a whole lot of times? Whoopity doo.
So did the most hated 160 pounder on this board.:lol1:
I hope some of you are as free wheeling on your points if a GGG-Lemieux fight gets made.
GGG wins. Lemieux is a great puncher with both hands and a dangerous fight for anyone. Lemieux has lost and been knocked out. GGG has never lost and as far as I know never been hurt or knocked down so in the slugout this fight almost has to be, GGG wins the way he always does. He KOs Lemieux in 6 rounds or less.
GGG is levels above in terms of skill but lemeiux has that 1 punch fight ending power that will enable him to beat anybody in his division including GGG.
GGG wins.
David impressed me today. I still think GGG wims in a war with both hitting the canvas
Well I doubt lemiux would fight GGG in the same manner. Then again neither would GGG as he fought lighter punchers. Would be good fight, Id pick GGG though. Lemiuex chin/stamina is suspect.
GGG by stoppage in an entertaining beatdown question is will GB give him up so quickly after winning the belt.
Maybe early next year unless HBO puts up a big purse.
Most likely GGG cause he's the overall better boxer BUT Lemieux can punch has fast hands and will take the fight to GGG. It would be very entertaining and I just want to see how GGG reacts when/if Lemieux start landing big clean punches. Also interesting how GGG decides to fight. How much respect will he have for Lemieux power.
If he didn't respect Kovalev, odds of him respecting Lemieux's are low outside of smart fighting.
I've got ggg by ko somewhere between the 6th and 8th round. Lemieux hits hard, but leaves himself open with his wild winging shots, and literally has no defence. N'dam was able to stop him dead in his tracks a few times, and n'dam isn't a puncher. I see ggg taking a Stevens approach to this,by keeping him outside with a strong accurate jab,and countering and making him pay for those wide shots. Ggg knows that lemieux can punch,so he won't throw caution to the wind like he did in the Monroe fight, and he'll systematically break lemieux down from the outside.
Or just take him out in 1. Lemuiex skill set is soooooo many levels below GGG, and his chin is shakey, and he has no defense, but is a dangerous puncher. GGG would be well advised to just go in there and get the job done.
