And who didn't see the blatant headbutt committed by Wlad??
Does anyone have any gif's on this?
I mean he jumped like a Ram straight into Fury Victor Ortiz style... What did Weeks do? Not a damn thing.
IMO, Tony Queef is done when it comes to elite fights. He should be eternally banned from the big stage.
He did lunge a headbutt at him and Fury looked over at Weeks immediately after...and I'm not defending Weeks here but Fury retaliated with a much slicker headbutt (Holyfield style) that cut Wlad under the eye soon after and Weeks let it slide probably because of the fact. Fury also headbutted on another occasion. But really...I was very happy at least it wasn't a German ref and no German judges...otherwise Fury wouldn't have had a chance.
That was one of the worst headbutt attempts i've ever seen in the ring. It wasn't even a sneaky one on the inside like people do. It was done with great force in an attempt to hurt a man that he knew he couldn't beat by then. It's just a good job it didn't land flush.
Absolute disgrace.
Yea all that gentleman bullsh1t was exposed last night

I like Weeks generally - and just last week I was thinking how well he did to let Miura, the champ, fight on last week against Vargas.
But yesterday I was screaming at the TV when he took that point from Fury. Fury was making sure always to get at least one shot in and Wlad was turning his head and back some of the time and it was inadvertent. After a second, I calmed down and gave WEeks the benefit of the doubt...and in light of Prichard Colon's injury, I am OK with ref's paying extra attention to back of the head..............
so after the point was taken I was more yelling for Fury not to attempt that punch again, and not to give them any excuse to get DQ'ed late. Other than that, I didn't really notice Weeks I was too caught up in what was happening when they got up inside a clinch.
If he applied the rules the fight would have been over by the 8th on a DQ to Wlad for holding non-stop! He constantly turns his head and actually turned his back a few times. Turning your back is a foul!!
Fury tapped him a few times justb to let him know he wasn't going to be bullied, smart move!
Weeks isn't a favorite of mine but he had nothing to do with the out come so no foul. Best man won that night.
Ray
Bump for another piss poor performance from Weeks.
He takes a point from Fury, in the midst of Fury going for the KO, but doesn't take points from Maidana-Floyd I and Broner-Porter??
He needs to be taken out back and fouled repeatedly and then take points from himself
9 times out of 10 the ref will favor the money fighter, just like the judges. We can call for consistency all we like, but not enough of us do it, so they'll keep favoring the money fighter. The best refs will change what they accept from fight to fight depending on who the guy bringing in the money wants.
Not just holding, pushing, forearms everything but headbutting.
No doubt.
Anytime Porter got close Broner was trying to avoid any type of inside fighting.
Whats funny is, not only did he look like a scared man with those tactics but none of those tactics worked since he lost almost every round and looked like a clown.
Maidana vs. Broner 2 please.
But he should have taking about 4 or 5 points away from Mayweather too. Then again why bother taking points when both men are fighting equally as dirty
Broner was holding from round 1, it was pathetic that weeks didn't do anything about it the whole night.
Porter Sr also deserves some criticism for not being all over weeks between rounds.
Not just holding, pushing, forearms everything but headbutting.
My theory is Weeks already saw what Broner was doing and knew he had to take a point away at some point, had to be late because he wasn't gonna take away more then 1 and he will not dq him.
he had a great night and earned himself many more big fights. he proved he will protect the a-side and let him do whatever he wants and will only take points when the fight has already been decided. he did the same exact thing in garcia-matthysse.
Lol.. got to admit this is 100% correct.

Bad night. Cmon.
Refs have an easy job. Follow the rules.
Enforce the rules.
Its pretty obvious there is something else influencing certain refs.
This was a corrupt level performance from him. That was willfully bad reffing for a paycheck.
