For me the text in the new version has the look you get when clearType is not calibrated correctly. I switched back to the original and I'll take another look at 2.0 further down the line.
I don't like the red colors, harder on the eyes. I like the slim forum that doesn't take up the whole page like it is now. So much white as well and its very bright, don't like. Would be OK if colors remain the same as right now
We switched it back to the Classic format, for now. We wanted to beta test the design to take down some suggestions before implementing the new design full time. The new design is still selectable at the bottom.
I can located everything faster in the classic compact version without straining my vision - this new widescreen version exhaust my eyes as I have to look around more.
Would like if they changed the default font to black and had black or another grid colour to make everything clearer.
I think it's a step in the right direction, are they doing anything with the servers? Seems a bit faster than usual. This site's been in dire need of a refreshing look. That old school format was ugly.
I like it. Looks sleek. Needs some touching up though. The Broner-Porter images toward the bottom of the page sorta clogs things up. Background should be all black at the bottom of the page. Makes the options (Share This With Friends / Tags / Quick Reply) stand out more. Other than that, I like a lot.
It's an eyesore. The color scheme reminds me of those free do it yourself websites back in the late 90s. Also, the boxingscene logo at the top looks pretty crappy and should be updated.
Thoughts? If its not broke, dont fix it. Ive seen many forums/sites die out because over the top formats/layouts change no one was asking for.
Edit: I see you can switch back, thank you for the option.
Much better for multiple platforms and also way more modern. I run a large, successful forum myself, and any changes you make that are drastic take time for the users to get used to it. Initially, several will resist because it has been the same layout for years. People will get used to it and adapt. This layout is much better for the present and most importantly, the future.
