We seen what Bob said, now Rameriz is liking it and K2 is liking it for San Antonio. Too early for Rameriz, but way better than Lara, Heiland, or Johnson.
Fedor has a fight with Frank Buglioni in the UK, then wants his rematch with Sturm, and Hearn has expressed interest in matching him with Murray for good money.
Bob might not like his kid's chances winning a decision over in Germany. He probably sees more potential in a big Texas fight with Golovkin. Win and he's a star. Lose competitively, and he gains some value. Lose badly, and they save themselves having to invest into a guy who might never turn out. TR has shown willingness to gamble with certain prospects. Maybe they lost some faith in him after the Vlasov fight? Either way, TR isn't a company that'll milk along fighters they don't see long term future in.
I forgot that Sturm was getting an undeserved rematch lol. Chudinov is gonna milk that trinket for as long as possible, can't really blame him because he's not immensely talented and he won't last long with his face-first style.
Maybe we do get GGG/Ramirez after all.
Could @RamireZurdo, who headlines June 26 @HidalgoSFA on @truTV, eventually face @GGGBoxing? http://t.co/cyHnOqE88O. pic.twitter.com/cpMxB0SHrp— Top Rank Boxing (@trboxing) June 20, 2015
"I***39;ll make that fight in two minutes" Bob Arum....that***39;s promoting words, call @TomLoeffler1 on June 27th!! https://t.co/jvKrET0jke— Bernie Bahrmasel (@BernieBahrmasel) June 20, 2015
This is the quickest way for Arum to get Ramirez into the spotlight. Ramirez's rankings: WBC/WBO #2, WBA/IBF #3. What path does TR take with him? Is it smart to risk getting KO'ed by a MW when he might have more chance at beating Stieglitz/Abraham for the WBO belt? Maybe Ramirez should go after Chudinov and take the regular WBA belt, so that he can be in line to face Ward.

just because Arum mouths off and insincerely says that he thinks his fighter would beat GGG does NOT mean it's going to happen. In fact, I'm sure it's not going to happen. When will boxing fans learn to stop taking what other fighters and promoters SAY and not what they DO as gospel?
Yes... It's only about a follow up to something Arum said when 'advertising' his Ramirez kid...

Moving up to 168 against a guy he knows he can beat would fit his narrative of 'moving between 154 and 168 for fights'. Plus it would be a good measuring stick for the drawing power of GGG cause like other people said, Ramirez isn't going to bring thousands of people to the table.
I guess he knows he beats Wards best scalp Froch one division up, in the UK. You think hes deluded, or that good?
But Arum is the only promoter to send an offer to GGG before his fighter got cold feet. I guess he deserves the benefit of doubt then. If decent offer and nothing better on the table, why not?
Mexico too strong for GGG.
Ramirez with TKO in 2.
GGG fights "mexican style..." Ramirez IS Mexican.
GGG gets wrecked.
InB4 Zurdo turns down a jackpot from Arum and signs with Haymon lol
Forget it Ramirez. You don't bring a name, any fans or ppv money to the table. GGG is only moving up or down for the big money/name guys like Chavez, a semi retired Froch or even the 147 lb king in Floyd.

The quotes do speak for themselves......when you post the whole article.....which you never do.
Gennady "Quotes" Golovkin. That will be sure to get him into the HOF :lol1:
That's ok, hopefully someone who thinks more of his chances will step up. Wonder if that guy will have the great advantages in size, experience, homecourt, that are not enough for Froch to risk it.
The quotes speak for themselves. The clarification especially.

Yes because you've selectively picked the quotes you wanted from a lengthy article where Froch also says that if he gets the right deal, he'll fight Golovkin.
But carry on, that's your badge of honour for Golovkin's pathetic career so far :lol1: A twisted quote that you post over and over.
Is that going to be the highlight of GGG's career? :lol1:
I know it's not getting made but the premise made by the TS that it would be better than a fight with Lara is ridiculous

You think these are lacking context?
"Just swerve Golovkin like the plague. He punches like a mule. I don***8217;t need to be in with him. Dangerous fight."
"It was tongue in cheek back then. I was being a bit cheeky and you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. What I will say though is this guy can f*cking punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a sh*t."

This fight is not getting made this is HBO , Arum ranting is over this

Yes indeed. The ones people use as a partial quote without finishing it? Those ones I do remember
Still waiting on Froch to announce his plans. Been almost a month
Golovkin won't move up to 168 to fight Ramirez. It's not enough money.
He'll only move up for a decent payday (Froch, Chavez Jr). He's popular enough now that he doesn't need to.
Back when he fought Rosado, K2 made offers to Edwin Rodriguez & Thomas Oosthuizen, neither would've been big money fights. Today Golovkin is still in a situation where he can't draw enough to lure in certain fights. A win over Rameriz raises his profile more so than Lara, Heiland, or Johnson - in particular with the Mexican market (assuming Froch and the winner of Lemieux/N'Dam turns him down which it looks they will). Down the road that gets Golovkin that much closer to ppv.
Arum says he wouldn't hesitate to make this fight. Rameriz says he'll take it. K2's publicist likes it. We'll probably start to hear some real chatter on this after Rameriz KO's Derek Edwards next week. If Floyd steps off Sept 12 this year, this will be Arum's flag. Even if Rameriz loses, he's young enough to recover. But if he beats GGG, Arum has another major star. TR's alternative option is to risk Rameriz vs Abraham/Steiglitz winner in Germany.
