Do you hear that Golovkin, the man is not a middleweight. Stop trying to fight smaller guys and fight the Son of God.
This is becoming pathetic from K2, Ward is ready and instead of GGG testing himself...he wants to fight little Angel.
Bullshyt....step up and fight Frank Ward only son.
Cotto is a Middleweight.
He fights above 154. Anything from 155-160 is MW. That goes for Canelo too.
They're just not middleweights when it suits them i.e to not fight Golovkin.
Good post! Very true.
Damn.... it's the internet bruh.
i'm sure NATAS will appreciate the novel you wrote him though
If you can't read more than a few words while you are logged on the internet, my apologizes. Next time I will shorten it for your reading pleasure....lesson learned.
NATAS,
You did your research and exposed me fair and sqaure. I was just trying to save face by saying it was a typo but it wasn't. That was my point of view several years ago and you exposing that hurt my argument and it take an adult to admit that they were wrong and also it take one to admit their hyprocrisy so I'm doing both to you in public and not over private message..
1. I apologize for my attitude and condescending tune toward you for uncovering my past.
2. I admit my hypocrisy for all who will read this...I'm eating crow here.
This apology will be cataloged so it can always be dug up in the future.
Now fast forward 2015, I still believe that GGG should fight Ward and I believe that GGG should be the one to move up only because if Ward moves down and GGG beats him, will he get credit for the win?
Should Cotto give up the belt? Absolutely but he's not going to because it is a bargaining tool. This does not mean that other fighters should cut weight for Cotto, he's not putting a gun to their heads.
Most of the fighters that cut weight for Cotto (or Mayweather for that matter) have no bargaining at the negotiating table...ten year ago, Floyd and Miguel were in the same position (no bargaining power).
If Cotto is crazy enough to fight GGG, he should meet him at 160. GGG should not have to move down to make the fight because if Cotto wins, it's a tainted win.
One more thing...Floyd, Saul, Miguel, Carl, Julio...none of those fighters can beat GGG so those fights are strictly money and notoriety fights. If GGG actually wants to test himself, he'll fight Ward.
Ward himself should fight Kovalev...which I think he will because of two reason.
1. He's testing the water at 172.
2. Kathy Duva has said on video that she has had discussion with Roc Nation.
So in closing, I'm eating crow and apologizing to you NATAS and admitting that was a nice catch. I probably would have kept going if not for your research but confession is good for the soul.

Wow still trying to lie even when you were caught red handed? Unfortunately for you I can read, second page of the thread this what you said:
"We have no proof that Ward can't make 160 lbs....he's never said he couldn't. Ward use to fight at 160 lbs...find me a quote from Ward where he said he can't make 160 lbs."
Clearly no typo there. Now go crawl away to whatever strange hole you came out of.

So the thread title was a type? What about this?
Dats a lotta typos dude.
Well apparently not...NATAS did some nice research and I'm going to apologize to him, eat my crow and admit that was my point of view way back then and I was just trying to save face.
By the way, you made a typo so it does happen (although again I was just trying to save face).
That was a typo byatch :fing26: (we all make them)....read the thread, i was clamoring for the fight to be at 168.
You ain't about that life.

So I guess following should also be fair fights,
Stevenson, hopkins and pascal are (light heavyweight) as is Klitschko heavyweight.
BTW canelo and cotto are (light middleweight) as is GGG middleweight
Reply to this you dumbfvck retard.

It's weird that you blatantly lie knowing we can see your past threads. Your own thread title was:
"Explain why Sergio Martinez vs Andre Ward at 160 doesnt make sense?"
LOL
In that thread you're saying Ward should move down to 160 pounds and fight Martinez. Why would lie when we can see the threads? You're a bizarre creature.
That's an understatement , he just sent me a paragraph telling me how im not "bout that life" and that I'm a "hoe." Scary stuff.
Cotto is a welterweight as is Alvarez (super welterweight)
Golovkin is a middleweight as is Ward (super middleweight)
No wonder guys like Kovalev, Stevenson and Beterbiev have Ward so shook. Same as fighting Klitschko, right?
Light heavyweight same as heavyweight amirite?
ward "i need 2 or 3 tuneups" is ready? since when? and if cotto isn't a middleweight why does he have the middleweight belt? he could have dropped it a year ago so ggg could fight for it. why is he trying to sabotage ggg's career?

Precisely, keep those diva excuses to yourself. If you got the MW belt, then you are a damn MW. If you scared, just say you're scared and drop the belt but don't try to act like a man and while talking like a punk bitch.
And the organizations are prepared to have him hold on to the belt because of the large sanctioning fees they get from him fighting junior MW's. Can't blame him from playing the game!

You know what pathetic? Golovkin and K2 trying their hardest to avoid fighting Andre Ward. They have no problem calling out Froch and Chavez but with Ward all of a sudden Golovkin sycophant fans want no part of the super middleweight division.
Here are the fighter Golovkin will fight:
Froch - supermiddleweight
Chavez - supermiddleweight
Mayweather - welterweight
Alvarez - junior welterweight
Cotto - welterweight
You notice Ward name is off the list because he's the one fighter who Golovkin size or power won't see him threw the fight...he'll have to bring intangible.
Cotto is not a real middleweight but he keeps the title for bargaining power...if you don't want to drain yourself to fight him, you don't have too. No one is putting a gun to these guys head, boxing is a business and Cotto said himself he has earned the right (just like Mayweather has) to call the shot after years of working hard.
Cotto will not fight Golovkin because he knows that Gennady will beat him so he will close out his career fighting guy he stands a chance against.
Such a phaggot
"I'm not a middleweight"
But I'll keep the WBC middleweight, force everyone who wants to fight me into a catchweight instead of the 160 limit while simultaneously evading my mandatory against a fighter whom has clearly earned his shot (GGG).
The fact he's going to give Canelo a title shot before Golovkin is disgraceful and just makes everything so chaotic. The kid can't even admit he's a middleweight despite fighting at 155 for his past 3 fights.
This is beyond pathetic, for the sport and for Miguel Cotto.

then why the **** are you fighting at middleweight?
Well, he went to middle for history and now probably wanted to defend it atleast once. He'll probably drop the belt soon.
Then drop the belt, its pathetic saying your not a middleweight and then dragging fighting down in weight to drain them to fight for the middleweight belt.
Why are the same people who crusaded against Manny Pacquiao for years not angrier at the junior middleweight who is holding the middleweight championship and defending it at catchweights?
Yes, Cotto's not a MW. So he should drop his fake belt and go back to a division he belongs in.
