Haven't posted in years (due to infection of fanboys) and don't want to beat a dead horse.. But honestly, all those years between negotiations and actual fight and thats the best you come up with? This was the fight that was supposed to push Floyd for him to dig deep, but really turned into one of his easier fights.
Whatever it was, it went out of the window during the first round.
yes, as soon as pacquiao got drilled with that first stiff, straight right through the middle the memories of JMM KO came flooding back (just like floyd predicted) and any "plan" went to sh*t!
9-3 if you give Floyd every swing round, or Pac every swing round.
There were only 2-3 clear rounds for each fighter!
The rest were swing rounds!
These are the facts!
Swing rounds are bull****. Just shows that your biased. Only one fighter can win a round.

Loooool. Only in your head.
Still hurts doesn't it? 9-3. Live with it.

What adjustments did he make? He was getting tagged with clean hard punches throughout the fight and barely landed.
Floyd gets too much credit for these mediocre performances. The onus is always on the opponent to do something, he does fk all and wins the round by default.

I've got no problem with 7-5 either way or a draw.
I'm just annoyed at the BS being spewed like it was some easy domination for Floyd, it wasn't.
People always talk about what Manny didn't do, how easy it was for Floyd, but what did Floyd do? show me some meaningful offensive highlights from Floyd and you can find Pac clips that equal or best Floyd's highlights. Not to mention Pac's defence has been underrated for a while now, he actually nullified a lot of Floyd's work but he'd never get credit for that, because he's not perceived as being that type of fighter.
I've stated this on BS before and I'll say it again: There were swing rounds. Now if you gave all of the swing rounds to Floyd, it would've been a 9-3 type of decision.
THAT SAID: Floyd didn't dominate the fight. He won 3-4 clear rounds while Pac won 2-3 clear rounds. The others were swing rounds, IMO. So even if Floyd won those rounds, that means he did just enough.
Boxing isn't baseball or football. 117-111 doesn't mean a domination. If every round is close, with one fighter edging that's not dominating, that's simply winning
The fight was close. Closer than most people think. On first watch I scored it a draw, but I settled on 7-5 for Floyd after a few more watches.

Honestly, I don't think it was that bad of a plan. What's more disappointing is that there wasn't a plan B. No one gameplan will ever beat Floyd Mayweather. He always adjusts and you have to make adjustments to his adjustments.

Pac was resurrected after Algeria fight?!.. I think no matter when the fight would have happened it would have played out the same way. Love him or hate him, inside the ring the man is a genius at figuring his opponent out
Imo pacquiao beats floyd in 2009/2010
I think his fighter wasn't capable of executing his plan. Clearly Roach wanted more volume but Pac isn't the same fighter that he was a few years ago and Floyd was able to neutralize Pacquiao for the most part with his straight right, made Pacquiao too hesitant. Also Pacquiao just doesn't use that lateral movement anymore these days, you know the punch and spin to the side then punch some more. Pacquiao just doesn't fight that way, he's more straight lines now. He's regressed, he's a bit shop worn, and just older. Mayweather is older too but still has it, Pac he's been on the decline for a while now and it's obvious the guy who's fought Mayweather, Bradley, Marquez hell probably even Shane isn't quite the same fighter that fought Cotto, Hatton, Oscar, etc.
Basically, I would blame Pacquiao more for the loss than Roach.

Has Freddie Roach ever offered advice in the corner other than things such as "use your speed", "throw punches son"
I mean it's got to a point now where he literally just blank stares at his fighter for the entire minute between rounds.

That's cool.. Unlike most on here, my life goes on after these forums
I get what your saying.. But thats it? After all those years!?

I think Roach's gameplan was to punch when Floyd punched, kinda like Tarver's gameplan vs RJJ. And when Pac connected on one of those punches, the plan was to throw flurries but that didn't happen enough
