I don't know why people act like his fight with Floyd was close. Floyd easily dominated him. Did anyone else think he was on his way out and Floyd took his foot off the gas??? Personally I think Cotto was the last opponent really hurt by Floyd. He doesn't deserve another $$$ fight.
floyd was very close to stopping cotto but he took his foot off the pedal...
did you see that uppercut in the late rounds...
it literally lifted cotto off of his feet and he was stumbled...
floyd showed mercy if you ask me....
Sorry new bootie
I only saw one (1) uppercut that stunned Cotto for all of two seconds. Mercy no. This floyd were are talking about. Remember Ortiz. If floyd could hav taken Cotto out he would have. That's what makes floyd so masterful. He know when not to be greedy. He knew Cotto was only dazed and not hurt. Floyd didn't go in for the kill cause he knew Cotto was still dangerous. Floyd backed off and solidified his win instead of getting ktfo gatti style.
Cotto is a C-level fighter who has just always positioned himself to "catch" shot names and put them on his record:

Floyd has his way with him 99 times out of 100
Some say the same about floyd... I for one don't believe none of that about either. Both are great fighters. That cannot be talking away from either of them. Cotto just made some grave mistakes in the last and it's very clear he has learned from them.
Cotto ran out of gas in the last 3 rounds like usual.
That won't happen with Roach and MacMillan in his corner.
Word
But it remains to be seen if Cotto runs dry the last 3 rounds. Let's see what happens on sat
Floyd? Everyone loses to him. The Trout fight is the fight that showed he was on his way up, not down. Peg leg Sergio saw that and was like hell yeah!
I greent u up for the sig pic
And the wicket sh it will never die!

Funny that since then Floyd could not hurt anyone, not Maidana, not Gurerro, not drained Alvarez and not Pacquiao, who is also not in his prime anymore.
Cotto was hurt from that uppercut yes, but not near getting stopped. Do not forget that this his not prime Cotto anymore a prime Cotto would walk trough Mayweathers shots. The guy was hit by bricks for 11 rounds against Margarito and yet gave Floyd a tough fight. There is a video where Floyd clearly says that he does not fight Cotto, because Cotto live to far away. With that being said Cotto was "Mayweather" ready.
"Mayweather" ready == A Mayweather opponent, who is not in his prime anymore, was in many wars, has to accept all Mayweather conditions.
Cotto was competitive as anyone since...Castillo? He was still having success in the second half of the fight, which is saying something. But it was a clear 8-4 loss.
but but but compubox has him landing less than guerrero.

Your a fuking troll don't you have anything better to post up instead of this sh1t on Cotto's fight week?:bottle:
PRPP:boxing:
He was wobbled in the 12th round for sure, but found his feet again after 10 seconds, if Floyd had stepped on him he may have scored a KD but I doubt he would have stopped him. I think it was one of those shots which was more stamina related than anything and he would have taken it better earlier in the fight.
I had Cotto winning 3 rounds. But more than that I think he actually did more physical damage to Floyd then anyone has. I think that was an ageing fight for Floyd, I think it took a little something out of him permanently. Cotto always does some kind of physical damage to his opponent it seems and Floyd was no exception, he has thudding power. He ****ed Pauliie up even though it was very competitive. He hit Gianluca Branco so hard on the arm he dislocated his shoulder. Pacquiao looked ****ed up and had a perforated ear drum even though he dominated. The list just goes on and on, Cotto may not be a one punch KO artist but he does serious damage with his punches.
Yea Floyd had him out on his feet in the 12th
I truly believe Floyd could've KO'd Cotto. No need to see them fight again. It'll be the same with or without Roach.
I had Cotto winning 4rds against Floyd but I had Floyd winning the 11th 10-8. Floyd could've KO'd him but played it safe. I don't want to c a rematch, itd be a hallow championship win if they rematched for Cottos 160 belt. Honestly the only people that want to c that rematch are Floyd fans that want him to pick up an easy title & Mexican haters that don't want to see Canelo get a shot.
FYI. I'm pretty sure Cotto has a moderator on NSB, all threads that discredit him get deleted lol
He didn't do near enough in any of the rounds to be awarded a 10-8 round get his dick outta your mouth.
Even the rounds Cotto lost were close..let's stop pretending it was an easy win for Floyd. And no.... Floyd was not ever going to KO Cotto.
Cotto is one of the few boxers that floyd actually wobbled badly lol
