I scored it 7 rounds to 5 for Algieri. There were rounds where Khan would run and then land a quick punch or two and then grab Algieri's arms and hold him like a damn octopus preventing Algieri from throwing any punches back at him. The bias ref never once warned Khan for his excessive holding tactics. In some of those rounds Khan might have landed one or two more punches but only because Khan's super headlock kept Algieri from throwing and landing more punches than Khan. I gave those rounds to Algieri because he deserved to win them. Khan's tatics were illegal. Algieri never took a backward step. He took the fight to Khan and fought like a warrior. Khan ran all fight and fought like a scared rabbit. His style seemed to be to land a few long range punches and then quickly lock Algieri up so tight he couldn't score back. I am not buying Khan's story about thrashing Pacquiao in sparring. Pacquiao won every round from Algieri and dropped him 6 times. Pacquiao never once clinched or held Algieri. Khan couldn't even hurt Algieri and in my opinion Algieri beat Khan. Pacquiao would slaughter Khan in a real fight and so would Mayweather and some other good welterweights.
