If GGG wants to pick on a smaller fighter, why doesn't he fight Erislandy Lara at 158 catchweight? that would be a real good test for him against a guys who's fast and elusive, good ring IQ, with skills and good stamina, Monroe was gassed after 2 rounds, and he was also gassed in the Vera fight after 3-4 rounds and had to stand on the ropes to catch a breezer.
What do you guys think? is GGG ducking Lara since Lara has shown interest in the fight and GGG never addressed it? and if the fight happens, who you got? I got GGG winning probably on points, I expect a similar fight like Lara vs Canelo where Lara does well but then GGG gets the decision cuz he was coming forward.
Canelo and Cotto don't want it now, GGG wants no part of any 168 pounders, the only logical option is Lara, but we still haven't heard anything about negotiations, I think Haymon wouldn't be in the way of the fight cuz this is the biggest fight Lara can get. But GGG's camp has to say something about it instead of dodging the guys like this, he showed clear interest in the fight and GGG said he'll fight all comers, why not fight Lara who's actually a 154 pounder? why does he call out Canelo who's a 154 pounder and Mayweather who's a 147 pounder who never weighed in more than 151 and not call out Lara?
He beat Canelo and Williams and got robbed, he also beat Trout, Angulo and ishe Smith who is a former champ in a one sided fight, and he only has 24 fights, the man is not a joke and he'll definitley be the biggest win on GGG's resume if GGG beats him.
BullShit!!! GGG's camp currently have an offer out to Froch for a fight at 168. The rest of your post has been addressed many times by many posters on this site and if it has not gotten into your thick skull yet, you should seek professional help because you are too stupid to be on the Internet.
What is with the idiots on this site? Don't ANY of them actually follow what is going on in the sport?
According to Loeffler lara needs to get a belt at 160 for hbo to approve the fight
Even if he could win a 160lb title, it's still doubtful with Haymon in the picture, see the Kovalev-Stevenson situation.
None of this is absorbed by some people though, you could explain it 100 times but they keep with the "why golovkin not fighting Lara tho?"
Again, he can fight Lara but it doesnt work like that when he with Haymon. If Haymon says it cool to fight on HBO and the money is agreed and then we will see if GGG takes the fight. Also the nobody comment is he is irrelevant, he's a 154 fighter that has schooled no one with a name in that division, GGG fighting Froch, Ward, Canelo, Cotto are better then beating a fighter like Lara.

Hey lara has said he wants the fight. GGG always boasts about how he will fight anyone who agrees, but not a single peep from him once lara said he wants the fight. These are facts and youre a GGG fanboy so ofcourse you will disagree and get mad
I not even saying lara would win , but why wont GGG fight him. Lara wants it. where is golovkin ?
Lara is not HBO approved, the television channel doesn't want him and on top of that they don't want to deal with Haymon.
Loeffler has stated on at least two occasions that they are open to the Lara fight but their paymasters (HBO) aren't interested.
GGG said he wants canelo," doesnt mean its true" lol.
"chasing a nobody". Lara would be the biggest name golovkin has fought. If he can fight bums like rosado, i think he can fight lara

He could say alot of things doesn't mean its true. When Lara actually moves to 160 and Haymon actually reaches out and lets Lara fight on HBO and not be money hungry because Lara is gonna have to take w/e Loeffler offers, then we will see what GGG does, until then GGG isn't chasing a nobody.
Golovkin is a little overhyped, if he wants to prove hes legit. Why not fight Lara?.
Lara also has over 300 amatuer fights and would be the best guy GGG has faced. Only problem is GGG doesnt seem to want the fight.
GGG seriously needs to step it up and prove himself, fighting lara would do that. Lara has said multiple times he wants the fight.
Yeah. It's not like he wants Carl Froch or anything.
Froch is the first option.
The N'Dam-Lemuiex winner should be the second option. Unification
Andy Lee third. Unification
Lara fourth.
This makes sense.
wasnt this thread made yesterday too?
It gets made every day, for some reason these people think that style is going to work whenever it didn't even work against Angulo and Canelo.
So what. he got back up , adjusted and won the fight like a true champion.
If this is such an easy fight for golovkin why not take it then, Lara already said he wants to fight, why doesnt golovkin want it , he said he wants to fight everyone
The reasons have been explained in this thread and in each and every one of the other dozen or so threads on the subject. Are you so stupid that you cannot understand them?
He TKOD angulo
Yeah, and he still got dropped twice...try getting dropped twice against golovkin and see how fast you can move around the ring. Like I said, golovkin style is all wrong for Lara, and all we'd get from that fight is another knockout highlight for GGG,and another 1000 threads about how golovkin is picking on smaller fighters, and how he should fight ward, despite ward still needing his 1-2 tunups.
If GGG was going to go out of his way to fight someone that was Haymon he'd probably fight Quillin.
But even the N'Dam-Lemuiex winner should hold priority over Lara. But I know Lara is fighting the always awesome Delvin. lol
GGG is not trying to pick on smaller fighters. Where did you get that BS. He wants Cotto because Cotto is a 160 pound belt holder. If Cotto is too small for the weight he should give up the title and return to 154 instead of changing the class limit to 157. No middleweight champ in history prior to Cotto has made his challengers fight him at a weight lower than the traditional 160 pounds. GGG would destroy tract star Lara but why would he fight Lara? GGG is trying to get all the middleweight belts an establish himself as the best middleweight in the world. Lara has never defeated a middleweight and he is dull as dirt and doesn't bring in the fans or the money. GGG could KO Lara and then his haters like you would only say he beat up a smaller man. It wouldn't even be a good payday for him. Lara ran from Canelo and he lost. He would run even faster with GGG chasing him.

How many times do we have to go through this? Don't people know how to do a search of the board to see if there are any other threads on the exact same thing that they can post in????
Lara is signed to Haymon. Lara fights on PBC. Lara cannot fight on HBO.
GGG has an exclusive contract with HBO. GGG cannot fight on PBC. GGG would probably kill Lara in the ring and that is illegal.
And finally... about those tweets... Lara hardly speaks English and did not write those tweets or any others. They were most likely written by his manager to get some free and easy publicity for his client.
Now can we move on from this absolutely STUPID topic once and for all? :nutkick:
Will people please stop mentioning GGG vs Lara....its a huge mismatch, Lara would get destroyed and it is probably impossible to make anyway. Nobody is an actual fan of Lara..they just use his name to say the fighter they don't like might lose to him.
His ass gets schooled for 12 rounds that's why.
Dude is a complete hype beast with no defensive skills or head movement.
Lara would have to fight for his life Cuz he won't be able to run for 12 rds. GGG cuts off the ring too well.
I like the fight because the strengths of both men play against one another at high level, but I don't think it's possible due to the politics.
Haymon has too much invested into the PBC, with HBO as the only resistance to his brand assuming the whole of the sport. I don't see him allowing one of his guys to go on HBO and lose, increasing the star power of one HBO's biggest stars.
I think that's the reason we just got Willie Monroe. People were asking for Lara, so they gave us a guy who's pretty similar but without all the aggravation of having to go through what would've ended up a failed negotiation.
We should move off Golovkin/Lara and maybe start asking for Golovkin/DeGale (if the Froch fight falls through). DeGale is in neutral territory, bigger than Golovkin, southpaw, accomplished title holder, with Olympic pedigree.
