JAMES DEGALE has already achieved one dream - now he has his eyes on another.
He carved out a slice of history after being crowned the IBF super middleweight world champ following a gripping battle with Andre Dirrell.
DeGale won a unanimous points decision and went bonkers after becoming the first ever Brit to win an Olympic gold and a world title.
The Londoner returns home today a hero and next he wants to pack out Wembley or the O2.

man...I'm glad there's dudes like Chunky in the sport...this kid will fight anybody....some dudes win belts and try to keep them forever by fighting a bunch of NOBODIES!!...just look at Kell Brook and GGG....one is using Khan as a excuse to fight cans and the other is using some BOOGIEMAN ish as excuse to fight cans....props to Chunky...I believe him when he says he'll fight those dudes....the kid wants to be GREAT and I like that!!
Not really. And comparing Ward to Degale... lol.
Which tricks though? What tricks does he have?
Degale isn't on the same level as those two at all. He's not as physically strong as they are and definitely not as gifted. Not to mention, Kessler was literally fuked by everyone during the Ward fight.
He would tear Degale a new one. This notion that Degale is a slick southpaw full of tricks has never been proven and is just a theory. That's what people want him to be but isn't reality.
I'm comparing styles. Who the fuk did Kessler even beat? Brian Magee and Marcus Beyer? Some other robotic Europeans or Sugar Carl Froch which I thought he lost both times anyway.
He lost badly every time he came up against a guy with DeGale's sort of style. and would get smashed to bits if they fought now. I hope they make that fight next.
Once he comes up against a guy with speed and movement, who punches from odd angles, his brain starts to malfunction and he doesn't have a fuking clue how to adapt.
You seriously overrate Mikkel Kessler because he's Danish.
Theirs lots of matches for Degale to be fair.
Abraham, Stieglitz, Groves, Ramirez, Callum Smith, Chudinov, Rocky Fielding. And I also expect Eubank to move up.
I'd personally like to see Degale & Eubank get it on.
ggg? froch? ward? kessler? those fights just aren't going to happen. he needs to take the kovalev fight. why is he ducking? i haven't even heard him utter kovalev's name. a paper tiger.
Lol Kovalev.
I wouldn't advise anyone to move up and fight him lol. Dudes a complete beast. Saying that I'd love to see him and Froch get it on. But Id Favor Kovalev due to his size and power. Degale should without question stay-away.
Magee and Bayer :lol1:
Andre Ward switched hit if I remember correctly. Used angles and lateral movement. Kessler is straight ahead fighter, he can't deal with the kind of tricks DeGale has up his sleeve.
I've said all along he'd beat a "Prime Kessler" who didn't even do anything that great. He beat fighters who were straight in front of him or just complete bums.
Calzaghe and Ward are styles which were the most similar to DeGale's and he got embarrassed. It's just a poor style match for him. Both DeGale and Dirrell beat him now and in his so called prime.

The only southpaw that ever troubled Kessler was Calzaghe. And I know you're not trying to say Degale is on that level.
Every other southpaw Kessler faced like Magee or Beyer or whatever their names were, were all left on the floor within 3 rounds.
What is this notion that Degale is tricky? :lol1: Tricky how? What does he do that's tricky? He can't throw a straight punch to save his life and his hooks are far too wide. Seriously, a prime Kessler would murder him. The ramrod jab that came in 3s and 4s followed up by a serious one-punch lights out left-hook or right hand... And he was relentless. Would also decapitate Degale with uppercuts on the inside.
People forget that when Kessler was at his peak, he had one of the best 1-2s in the game. That's not just me saying it. I remember Antonio Tarver saying it as well.
Kessler moved well in his younger days. He was never the robot some people are trying to make out.
Look, I know your high on Degale at the moment, but there's no freaking way he would beat a prime Kessler.

A tricky southpaw who punches from odd angles is Kessler's nightmare. Kessler is a straight up and down fighter - nothing special and no ability to adjust. He has zero clue with how to deal with that kind of style. DeGale would embarrass him, prime or not.

Oh so he's upset that DeGale made more money for a fight than GGG has in his entire career and also beat a better opponent than GGG has ever faced?
And that people are tired of seeing Golovkin fight bums.
I've never seen Daggum get butthurt over a fighter he actually nuthugs :lol1:

Your attempt at some kind of humour just got killed but keep repeating yourself if it makes you feel better.
What point is it that you're trying to make here?
You're the one making comparisons and now you're saying who cares?
How is a guy that has been fighting in U.S. for sometime being compared to a debutant a real comparison? Comparing debut #s is more like it.
The kid won his first ever World title just now and he should just move up? Why doesn't GGG move up and fight Ward? Why is he ducking despite the name dropping? The guy has been an established champion whom no on really wants to fight, so why doesn't he move up for new challenges?
Lol, James asking Golovkin for a handout.
they are both ducking. sad state in boxing. degale is in a dead division. froch's retired, abraham is irrelevant, badou jack is one of the best in the division? lol. degale needs to move up and fight kovalev or stevenson if he wants a big fight.
who cares. how much did cotto's US debut generate on espn2? what matters is reality and degale needs to stop begging and looking for a handout from ggg and move up and fight kovalev.

Mate, James DeGale earned more on Saturday night than Golovkin has earned for any single fight in his entire career.
Thanks Al Haymon.
Also beat a better fighter that Golovkin has ever faced too :lol1:
All in a night's work.

How has he proven he would do that?
In which one of his fights?
:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
Not in the real world, that's for sure.
