Pac produced the BS.
He didn't want to fight.
He had Floyd on the ropes and backed off.
Mayweather was in his face in the center of the ring....Manny did nothing.
Manny still landed the harder shots while Floyd got credit for arm punches and punches Manny blocked. Floyd was great defensively but did nothing significant offensively except for the 11th.
both were disappointing but Floyd was less disappointing so he won. Hardly a "boxing lesson", no one got punished nor dominated.
I don't know about "boxing lesson" ...both fighters looked scared and just wanted to get paid.
Rigo/donaire
Algeri/provodnikov
Those are boxing lessons.

The phrase "boxing lesson" is used to loosely. I had the fight a draw til I fell asleep at the end of the 11th. Comparing "The Fight of the Century" to Rigo vs Donaire is like comparing apples to oranges.
it was a defensive lesson, but i thought mayweather's counter-punching wasn't what it used to be. in 2009 mayweather would have punished pacquiao much more than he did in 2015
A lot of people wanted to see Pacquiao win. Mayweather made him look like an ordinary fighter. I think some people are just having a hard time wrapping their head around how easy it was for Mayweather. A lot of people said it would be but not too many listened.
People didn't think the Madaina fights were exciting? Man, I could have swore people were saying those fights were exciting because Floyd no longer had the legs to move.
Guess Floyd was telling the truth when he said he could have moved more, but he wanted to make a more exciting fight for the fans.
Maidana, Cotto, Hatton etc made Mayweather fight, the great Manny Pacquiao couldn't? NO...... he wouldn't.
a counter right midway through the first round brought the Ghost Of Marquez out...many fighters stated that would happen....they said you NEVER recover mentally from such a devastating KO...they were right
Don't you know? It was Pac's fault for not making Floyd fight less boring. LOL. That's what I've been hearing from the Floydboys. Then they turn around and contradict themselves by saying "well what did you expect...that's how Floyd always fights"
What took place was 1 fighter focused on winning by doing as little fighting as possible and using touch scoring punches by treating it like a game of tag in order to tally up points round by round while the other fighter tried to make it a fight but didn't know how to deal with all the movement and clinching of the other fighter. From an entertainment perspective it was a crap fight with both fighters throwing/landing a record low amount of punches. Any fan who was entertained by that should watch capoeira instead of boxing.
he won this fight with footwork alone, pac mans footwork was c level, any real boxing fan would see and understand this
people are just mad pac man lost and looked lost while doing it, no punches in bunches, no foot work, and damn sure no angles!!! but he did what he could against an old 38 year old past it mayweather with no hands
and both fighters threw and landed the least ever.....that wasnt a boxing lesson, that was b.s. produced by both fighters.

As far as the thread topic. Of course we all paid for a fight.
When you get a house packed with wild, drunk friends/family and they are so pumped for a fight that has been hyped for 5 years. Then you get a HORRIBLE undercard followed by 2 guys barely making contact, and Jr. doing his usual, hit and hold, hit and move, zero trading, wtf you think is going to be the reaction after dishing out $100 bucks?
Then you wonder why MMA is gaining ground on boxing. At least those dudes put on a show, even if they are jerking each other off on the ground, something is there that will make you walk away from the fight with a f**ked up image in your head. Something 99% of Jr.'s fights fail to do.
How does Pac to on a tirade for years about PEDS or being clean in general, and then request a toradol shot? I mean sure, it's super legal but you know in about five-ten years it's going to be an explosion as to what it does to you and how illegal it should be. So Pac wanted that shot to face a Mayweather that isn't stronger, bigger or better than him?
We don't know that will ever happen and it could always be just a legit medical usage. He's had confirmed Dr. reports on the injury so there is no reason to believe it wasn't being used for that.
Not to mention Pac doesn't fight a dirty fight. Have you seen him fight Agapito Sanchez? The dude low blowed Pac like 20 times and Pac never returned one.

I'm Surprised so many people were surprised that it was a technical fight. Mayweather hasn't been in an exciting fight in forever - love him or hate him but he is a well schooled technical fighter. He does what he does best and that is BOX and not fight. He has the skills and he uses them.
And Pacquiao is way past his best nowhere near his best anymore so anyone who expected him to force the pace "a la Maidana" is stupid because Pacquiao tried that approach a couple of years ago against Marquez and got knocked out cold. So it was ridiculous to expect him to do an all-out attack against the worlds best counter puncher.
They say styles make fights and this fight always had the makings of a dull technical fight. 5 years ago Pacquiao would have attacked in a reckless manner and it would've been exciting. Either Mayweather wouldve score a counterpunch KO or Manny would've stopped Mayweather through swarming pressure. But that fight never happened.
May 2015 was 5 years too late and it showed. I was not surprised for a second.Nah the fight would've looked virtually the same 5 years ago as well. Pacquiao hasn't gotten any smaller. The right hand tames Pacquiao regardless of when they would've fought.
What fight? There was no fight the two guys I saw looked like they were sparring........lightly! FIX? Maybe, they never tried to follow up, there was NO Bad intentions by either one and that kind of money is to much business to be a sport!
Funny how 5+ years of "wanting it badly" by both developed into NOTHING!!!
To me the FIX was IN!!! By both of them!!! I'll stand by that too!
Objectively speaking it was a terrible card and an awful "fight." No drama, no action. The only people saying it was great are big Floyd fans and that's fine, their guy won a huge fight, but I don't think any neutral observer would think highly of that event.
That's the phase I've been going through as I watch it.
I'm saying.. Two of this eras best going at it. The body language, trash talk, minor adjustments all look better when you see the fight again
I enjoy watching the fight too. Pacquiao did good work in the 4th and 6th, but other than that class was in session.
He truly did. Pac was so close when he had Floyd on the ropes, but the timing, defense and countering were a little too much for him.

Awesome breakdown between nature, animals hunting to survive and boxing.
I enjoyed the Card, enjoyed seeing Lomenchenko on the undercard and I enjoyed the mainevent. Casuals are hurt because the Villain did not lose to the Hero in this story. They build up Mayweather for the great fall with the Domestic Stuff leading up to the fight and all of that stuff. In their eyes, Mayweather was suppose to lose that is the story book ending but it didn't happen that way and people did not know how to react or take it so they just started complaining about how he won. It is Typical! Casuals are stupid fans!
