all this talk about GGG going up to fight Ward is all bull if anybody should move up its Ward and get the hell out of Oakland and fight kovalev
"Oh oh oh.... Kovalev beat him so GGG dont need to fight him. Because he European as well hehehe WE win "
or
"waaaah! Stop picking on GGG leave my hero alone. let him smash the hopless. Ward go fight Kovalev"
That's how they think nowadays.
Kovalev beating Ward does not = GGG beating Ward. :lol1:
3 Words: In A Year!
Roc Nation already reached out to Kathy Duva as she confirmed and yes they want to do it in a year so no Ward will not Hide Or Duck from Kovalev
I didn't see this yet but it got me HYPE!!!
Andre Ward is out there looking for an other weight class to rule in a year!
It makes no sense for GGG to go after Ward, since GGG is a star, and Ward is not.
But it completely makes 100% sense for a fighter like Ward, who is already fighting only a few pounds from Kovalevs weight, and who is so unpopular HBO refused to show his fight, forcing him to fight on BET, to go after Kovalev, as he needs to.
Ward is the one that needs to fight Kovalev.
Kova and GGG are good. They're on top of the world. Ward has no cred, no sway, no influence. He needs to get on his knees and he might get a Kova fight.

So you guys are new, huh? a few friendly tips for you.
1) See Super 6 tournament - (and additional contest he took during that period)
2) Engage your brain
3) Ask questions again.
You're welcome.
That was many many moons ago son. Time for Ward to leave the division he cleaned out and prove his p4p worth(like the greats are supposed to do)!
There needs to be a SENIORITY type program put in place when fans ask certain fighters to move up in weight, and ask yourself this:
Who's turn is it to move up for someone else?
Lets see, Chad Dawson - the Light Heavyweight Champ at that time moved down for Ward (though it was his fault) and fought him at his weight class. Nothing was required of Ward but to defend his title as per usual.
Now that there is a established beast at 160, and people wanting him to move up to fight Ward, again NOTHING IS REQUIRED ON WARD's part. All he has to do is make his usual weight and defend his 168 title, in a division where he is the true champ and the #2 guy Froch already lost to him.
Seniority rules would suggest that Ward needs to move up and fight Kovalev more then GGG needs to move up to fight Ward.
I agree!

As long as it happens
A lot of GGG's fans, myself included, would love to see him fight Ward.
I don't know if he would win, but I know that if he lost it would be on points, and losing on points to Ward at SMW wouldn't hurt his reputation or cost him his MW titles and ranking.
I also know that no matter many people write "let's see Golovkin vs Ward" here, it isn't going to happen till both men want it to.
And at the moment, NEITHER of them want it.
fair enough, it's up to you if you believe that I want those fights or not it depends on the fighters and I didn't think about you but about "OP and some of his mates".
this is the one fight that actually means all the sense of the world
Same network: HBO
Ward has NOTHING left at 168 except weight for a smaller man to go up. Kovalev would cement his greatness.
Size? similar enough. And Ward is making up his own Canelo/DSG weight. Dude can't make 168.
Ward not even hinting about Kovalev is absurd.
Of course the Ward fan in here will say but GGG do; guess what, GGG fights a division below and has good business left at 160.
Ward has NOTHING to do at 168 anymore. He's the king.
What a disappointing career for Ward. He should have targeted Stevenson and Kovalev.

Kathy duva said kaovalev vs ward is on course for next year.
now watch some hater comment and say Kathy duva doesn't know what she's talking about
Although I wouldn't mind seeing Ward face Andre Fonfara at a catchweight
If Ward wants to clean up at 172 before moving up for Kovalev, Fonfara will be next on his list.
Let's see it. I want to see that too. I want to see Ward against Kovalev, Golovkin, Dirrels, Beterbiev, Stevenson... I think he would beat all of them but probably he won't be able to fight the Haymon ones because politics so let him fight against Golovkin and Kovalev. I want it and I'm pretty sure he would beat both of them.
Difference between really confident fans and fans who wanna look like they're confident is while I (the confident fan) want my favourite fighter to beat and challenge both of Kovalev and Golovkin, the OP (wanna look like confident) and some of his mates want Ward to not fight against their favourite but they would push Ward to a Kovalev fight instead. If you're confident in GGG you should say "Sure, let's see Golovkin vs Ward".
Or should I make a thread now with the name: KOVALEV I have one word for you: insert random top 5 cruiserweight?
No... Because I actually confident in my favourite to beat the guy you demanded to him not like you.

Why is Ward so terrified of guys his own size (Kovalev)? He won a gold medal at 178 lbs.
Why does he only want to fight a guy who weighs 165 after rehydrating?
Ward is leaking outta his booty pipe at the thought of Kovalev, remember that video he started insinuating people only want him to fight Ward because they wanna see "fighters like us" lose :lol1:
He'll be on a strict vegan diet to keep him from outgrowing 168.
